In the meantime, I am convinced that the inner screen is more durable than the outer one. My Fold 3 fell on the table corner the worst possible way you could imagine. Each phone screen would be broken, but the inner screen had only a dead pixel. I believe it did not break because the inner screen is more flexible than the standard glass screen. Samsung service replaced it without even asking me how it happened.
My Fold 4 has fallen numerous times with the inner screen on the ground. So far nothing happened. But I have a serious scratch on the outer screen after it fell once.

Anyone with a fold? I wanna buy fold but idk how much durable is the main screen. Alot of people complain it would die in like 8-12 months in regular use (getting spots or dots).
And it is way too expensive. So i need imore info on this

kevvv, 30 Apr 2023Waiting for "Samsung Z Flip/Fold 4 is better!" comment.Samsung might need to learn one or two for designing an ultimate folding phone from the competitors. But on software side i believe that samsung foldable is far ahead any of them. It's not all lose for samsung though.

Ordered on giztop to replace samsung fold 3.
Thinnest foldable,
biggest beautiful screens,
solid cameras,
Origin OS supports English and looks great.

When there will be a foldable with mohs 9 grade main inner screen and not something scratchable by nail or chalk i will consider but as long as the main screen durability is equal to a chinese porcelain. In other words it cost fortune but breaks on any kind of accidental damage its a huge no.

As a general rule, prices should also always be shown in USD so that we don't have to convert yuan on a converter. Everyone knows the USD and it's not even additional work.

Honestly because of the xiaomi 13 ultra hype I didn't even realize that vivo released their foldable phones. Don't get me wrong the phones' specs look great but if it didn't generate enough hype, it probably won't sell well

If the Vivo X Fold2 had a 50MP ultrawide lens, a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto lens and the ability to root it to install a custom ROM (so that I don't have Chinese software or UI) then I would say it's the perfect phone, and would happily get it.

Since matex2 everything is a joke. No 10x tele and want to be the next gen, lol.
While they go for light body, classic design get its camera thickness to new height.

Foldables are still a rare category of devices and the price is mostly out of reach for most people. Still, it's good try from vivo
