The stated it has a 90Hz screen and some other feature, saying "the latter is a first"."Latter" means they're referring to the other feature, not the 90Hz screen. If they were talking about the screen they would have said "the former".

A reminder to everyone that the Pixels area built to primarily compete in the NA market which, due to differing frequency bands and other regulatory issues (plus Apple's market dominance), has many fewer options. The only real competitor will be Samsung A54. Everything else will be cheap Motorola trash, iPhone SE (if that doesn't increase in price), or just more expensive.

I know in other aspects it blows even more expensive phones out of the water, like camera, but still.
