Honor's CEO says it will build a better system than Apple's iOS

The only way to compete with that fruit is to leave the droid and develope YOUR OWN OS from scratch.

This is what Huawei is doing with their HarmonyOS, they temporarily made it compatible with android apps by forking some of the source code from AOSP until they're slowly moving away to HarmonyOS-only fully independent operating system (they're starting implementing their own code which resulted in some apks not compatible after version 3.0 of the OS)

I don't know if by this statement Honor plans to use OpenHarmony (open source version of HarmonyOS), if that's the case then I think they might succeed in competing because this OS is WAAAY lighter than android and a lot faster which makes it run even on 512KB of RAM! Good luck squeezing android into that kind of tiny-spaced RAM.

    Wow.... for a company that the UI still largely stay the same like their EMUI cousin, and also lack of their own stock music and video apps, they sure have the confidence to say that out loud.

                Bold claims while dissing a competitor and having nothing to show to support those claims… not very HONORable if I do say so myself lmao.

                Every company claims they’re gonna take on Apple and make a better OS, ecosystem, etc… Yet no one ever succeeds. The closest one has been Samsung, but even they haven’t been able to do it. Why not focus on being a better company with better products and better values instead of “wE’rE gOnNa Be BeTtEr ThAn ApPlE”?

                            Competition is a good thing so let's see what Huawei can come up with. I would've tried Harmony OS as well but they don't sell phones here anymore

                              Yeah, that's not even an opinion, it's just a false claim.

                              "Apple's smartphones have inferior hardware, outdated design.."

                              This however I can mostly agree with, but it's not all about the hardware. A series chipsets aside their hardware is inferior, not in every aspect, but for the most part it is. Design is outdated for sure, everyone can see that.

                                  China is obsessed with making iOS clones but as long as it’s Andriod underneath it will still end up being a terrible mess. After experiencing MIUI and I’ll never buy another Chinese brand phone again!

                                    That's quite a bold statement....they better know what they're doing
