I'm sorry, but I don't want to buy a phone that has this many compromises, that Samsung clearly didn't even need to make, to reach a sky high price of the equivalent of 1890 usd, at least in my country. Even at a 1000 usd this would be unacceptable.

    I just like the concept of their first foldable, not their execution. You don't like their superior design? The Samsung foldable is the better phone, but it's the inferior design.

      Ooo, what a shame really, such a wasted opportunity.
      I have had fold 2, fold 3 and 4. The greatest flaws have always been that the front screen is unusable for typing and still after so many years they have yet to fix everything.
      And small battery capacity, incapable to satiate the consumption of the big screen.
      So they should either increase battery capacity, or widen the cover screen, so that the need for casual tasks of the big screen is lessened and overall battery performance reached acceptable levels.
      I dont mind the crease, weight and 2000luminosity, those are gimmicks.
      The camera ought to honor the price tag and is currently acceptable.
      Getting the same width and battery capacity is disgraceful.
      Luckily, for the very first time we have a valid alternative

        It will be expensive again

          The ZFlip and ZFold are mostly designed and executed pretty well. They will obviously keep have iterations, and improvements in each next one.
          Samsung just needs to ensure that whatever they save in design, charger and other accessories, they should make up by improving in their camera department, updates and general experience. Also, it would be great if the ZFlip (and ZFold?) came in 2 Sizes. The present 6.7inches(?), and a larger, perhaps 7.2inches with a wider inner screen.

                It being the slowest charging Foldable phone on the market, that's a bit weird to say about it, they are also the only company that DOES NOT INCLUDE a charging brick with their Foldable phones. So what exactly are you talking about?

                IP68 water and DUST resistant on a Foldable would be game changing, however none has it as of right now, Fold 3/4 has IPX8, and so does the Huawei Mate X3.

                        Just 7.6 inch is boring . Huawei is offering 8.1 inch which is very great.

                                    All of this aside, would it be possible for Samsung to just put s pen charging area at the back? (Like Tab S6,7,8)

                                      I really don't understand Samsung wanting to return to flatter sides? It's just not as comfortable as their 2021 lineup. I still consider the S21 Ultra the best design and most comfortable of their Ultras. Without the S-Pen silo, it made it narrower. And the S-Pen is shaped like a toothpick.

                                      The Flip 4 from last year went with a more subtle flatter sides as well. Why not go back to the rounded sides? I usually buy cases for them and the phone's flatter sides still feels awkward with a case on. I really wish Samsung goes back to the design language from only 2 years ago.
