So D8000 sh... moreI think the reason MediaTek decided to rebrand its existing Dimensity lineup to streamline their chip category. I mean, going from number 1300 to 9000 in one jump seems wonky. Seeing that D8020 is just a rebranded D1100, means it has better feature sets than the D7000-series (which houses D7200 and theoretically it might include rebranded Dimensity 900) and the newly rebranded D6020 (D700's new name). So purely marketing thing that we tech enthusiast are still figuring out why.
Also, Dimensity 8000/8100 is basically a Dimensity 1100/1200 with newer-gen GPU, support for much faster LPDDR5 RAM, and much better power efficiency (due to TSMC N5 process). D8100 is much more prevalent than its lesser sibling 8000 despite similar in nature, so D8020 branding is used to rebrand the 1100. That also gives MediaTek some headroom to rebrand its mightier duo D1200 into something like "D8050"

Edge pro should not have had 8g2. This SoC should be for Ultra.
Correct would be :
40 ultra: 8g2
40 fusion : 8+g1
40 pro: 7+g2
40: D8300
40 Lite : 6g1
40 Neo: 8100

This for $550/€550 would be fair.
In Europe, xiaomi would easily charge €700 for similar device.

Or even the Realme 9 Pro+/10 Pro+!
If moto doesn't screw up, it'll easily give 100+hrs endurance in GSMA test.
