When you are successful doing crappy stuff like apple have been doing, ofcause other companies would want to copy them.

Take out the head and body is useless.

Campaign against the main villain and watch minions fall in line. If another villain tries to take it's place, campaign against him too.

AnonD-731363, 02 May 2023If they were so great they would at first release devices w... moreUnfortunately it’s impossible to make something totally “hack proof”. State of the art security algorithms from less than a decade ago have already been cracked and considered insecure and vulnerable. Hell, some security algorithms from as recent as 3-4 years ago have already been cracked as hackers find more and more ways to break in. These rapid security updates are actually what makes iOS products stand out in terms of cybersecurity because that’s the only way to make devices more “hack proof”. Rapid cybersecurity updates, unlike what you suggest, are actually very beneficial and shows that the iOS development team is working constantly to find entry points in your devices and patching them.
Now there’s no way to fully hack proof a device. For example, it doesn’t matter what kind of device you have, whether or not the software is up to date, if you’re connected to a password less wifi you’re easily going to get hacked. There’s so many ways to get into a device that unless you go airplane mode (yes, there’s many ways to get hacked not only through wifi but also Bluetooth, SMS, email, phone call, etc) and secure your device so that no physical port on the device can be accessed, then and only then you would be “hack proof”. Unfortunately that would make the device rather useless.

If they were so great they would at first release devices which are 100% secure to use and 100% hackproof.
Since this is not the case i am very dissapointed.

Anonymous, 02 May 2023Wtf are you going on about? The comment was meant for the guy who said "based wallpaper" in reference to the LGBTQ+ colours that appear in the article. Check the origins of the internet slang "based". "Based" was originally an insult used by right-wingers before rapper, Lil B made it a "positive" meme. That's an example of perversion. The LGBTQ+ stuff is also an example of perversion. So, it's kinda unironic to use a perverted term to praise another perversion.

I’m curious, where is that quote from? Because all the ‘marketing’ I see from Apple on their security policies is how they do their utmost to mitigate threats and protect users across as wide a range of their products as possible.

"Going forward, RSRs will only be available to those running the absolute latest versions of iOS and iPadOS."

So basically... you still need to update to the latest version in order to be able to receive security updates. What's the point?
