        They use ODMs to design and build phones for them. Then they pour into theses phones the most the laziest optimization of Android that exist, while claiming it's a "pixel-like" experience. Just because Pixels use stock android doens't mean they weren't optimized and loaded with features. Releasing an Android 12 device while version 14 is just around the corners says it all.

        Finally, HMD stamp on the back of all theses sad phones the name, used under licence (understand paid) of the long-gone tech giant.

        And don't forget the miserable specs to bucks ratio, but blind findboys such as
        Abdulla Zaki AKA TheMrNokia will tell you "it's not about that".

        The Nokia we all know and love died a long time ago.
        They took a bet with windows phone, they lost, and now they're gone.

        HMD didn't brought back Nokia, they just bought back the name.

The IP69 standard is above IP68 which logically makes it superior.

                That is actually a lie when there is already Android 14 beta testing and they promise 3 major os upgrades. Should come out of the box with 13 to say 3 major updates while it's 2 and half cause they ripping you off with old version of Android out of the box. So you get only that 4 years of security updates and all that with lux extreme premium price of 700 euro for hardware that is like Poco X5 that cost something like 270 euro

I tried out Camera2 on my Motorola (extracted the APK from an AOSP GSI) and I can confirm that the pictures are garbage.

Xiaomi released their newest series with a12 and one of them even has a11. Nokia is lazy for giving only a12 but at least it will receive a15.                           Oof, that price point is bad. If it was 400€ I would wait for it to drop to 300€ in order to buy it. Finally we have a rugged phone with good software and good looks too with good processor. Until now all we had were some obscure Chinese brands and underpowered Motorola phone

                              They call it "Life Proof" but I really doubt that. After all it's glass on front and as we all know it breaks

                              Anyways the price seems to be on higher side. At least they could've put a 7+ gen 2. Why do Nokia likes old chipsets so damn much

                                I honestly wouldn't mind the SD695 if this were the original Nokia, the one that made Symbian fly with just MB of ram and a single core CPU @ 200 MHZ.

                                But this is HMD we are talking about, the ones that love to just download AOSP, click build and then deploy it to their phones, without any optimization whatsoever. They do the same thing for their camera sensors, and it's a miracle they don't use the default Android camera app, perhaps because there isn't one officially like on Windows.

                                So yeah, that IP69K is just for marketing purposes. The overall device must be pretty underwhelming. Not to mention, it's 2023 and HMD still does not have a recovery PC application for whenever your device gets bricked due to a faulty update.

                                      This might be priced around $700 here, which is really a bad deal for a phone with SD 695. It is rugged but still overpriced

                                      Nokia forgot that this phone was meant to be used for a long time and thus should've been given "better processor" Weird that rugged phones always come with very weak chipsets
