                Anonymous, 03 May 2023Gimmick Phone 2 now comes with last year's top chip.there's nothing wrong with using a last year flagship chip, it's still good performance, if it means a lower price than the current flagships, the problem with it the gimmicky LEDs on the back that everyone's just gonna cover them with a cover and their meaningless use of battery life

                  I own nothing phone as work phone, it's an excellent and unique phone with premium build quality, but as it didn't have flagship CPU, I don't use it for my daily personal phone, this new nothing flagship is awesome but I worry of the possibility of over heating with snapdragon 8 + gen 1, if it had snapdragon 8 gen 2 less likely of overheating and possibility of throttling is also very unlikely

                    If it was the SD 8 Gen 1, I'd be slightly upset because the chip throttles fast and hard. However, it's the + version, which means that overheating isn't a crisis moment where your performance is cut down to 60-40% of peak performance. It's gonna be good enough. More than enough, in fact. Having the SD 8 Gen 2 is just futureproofing that you might not need.

                      But yes, I agree. DO you need TikTok to open half a millisecond faster? DO you? I mean, the CPU scores between the two is literally 10K- The only real jump leading it is GPU and Memory.

                        To those complaining about not getting 7+ Gen 2 or 8 Gen 2, we have the 8+ Gen 1, not the vanilla 8 Gen 1. Even though its not a noticeable boost in everyday use (besides editing and gaming,) it's still better than getting vanilla.

                                Even this is gonna be better than pixel 8.
                                I hope they make it this time, ppl last year claimed it was ODM phone by that company that makes EV cars in China.
