it payed off when they decided to risk going all in on larger screen phones. Because large screen phone can easily be replicated anyone in the world, (by producing larger screen phones of their own) they want to take it one step further and samsung feels they cannot be beaten by larger phones, so they are making even larger phones, just so they can have a step up on the competition. Who does this? A company out of ideas? A company that never had any ideas?

They have the resources to test the customer demands. They'll learn a lot from releasing these. You never know what is going to be popular these days.

I'm using gnote 2, but this huge phone.... Oh I don't know what can say. I think Samsung Co. thinking that people are crazy and willing to have this brick. For me, the perfect size of smart phones is between 4"-4.5", easy to use and comfortable to pocket. That's why there is a tablet and smartphone...a perfect combi. Smartphone while at work and tablet on home.

i dont think anyone will buy these, people who want big already have the note 2, there would be no reason why anyone would want to buy these devices, even if they are priced cheap.
Samsung seems to be targeting giants, i dont see the logic atall in making these.
