Google officially shows us the Pixel Fold in a quick teaser video

Anonymous, 08 May 2023Thats how I felt too...but then i bought one due to a crazy... moreThese are all totally fringe cases. Is your eyesight bad? I am not joking. No one should need a larger screen for GPS in car. My car has a display that is bigger than any phone for GPS anyway.

Two games at once? I have better things to do with my phone and my time.

Then you have the weak speakers on these phones, the terrible cameras and the horrible crease that the fold models have. The flip ones I could sort of understand because they're smaller and some of the small displays are pretty useful but the loss of camera quality and the absolutely insane asking price is ridiculous.

As Samdung is releasing a new one every 6 months too, your phone basically becomes useless immediately and they are using you as a test dummy. People on the original flip and fold phones have already tossed theirs due to the horrible creasing and terrible camera and CPU performance.

They also don't even have good fast charging. You can wake me up in 10 years when these are actually decent.

      Not only that they're late in the foldable party, they also brought in thicker bezels.

Now I don't think I can ever go back to a normal phone. The large screen for GPS while I'm driving is amazing. Being able to play two games at the same time using flex mode is really fun since one of my games is semi AFK. Being able to take selfies with the main cameras has also been really helpful in getting really good quality photos from selfies. Night shots have been great since the phone doubles as a tripod. The side mounted fingerprint reader is by far a million times faster than all those in display finger print readers. The dual speakers are properly 50/50 balanced unlike even the best normal phones where its like 40/60. When it's closed the phone is a proper one handed device where I can actually reach across the screen with one hand. When It's fully opened videos really look way better than all the 21:9 devices these days since most videos are still 16:9. It can do everything a normal phone can do, and more. My fold 4 really does everything my S22 Ultra did but it goes a step above it. It really is like having a small phone and a tablet at the same time. The only downside is the price if you don't have access to any good deals.

            Why are all these stupid companies investing in these ridiculous fold phones which have horrible cameras and are basically just a cheapass tablet with foldable plastic screen which gets creases and everything? No one is buying Scamdung's flip phone garbage at its over-inflated price. Are these companies so happy to throw their money away?

                They should've announced tablet instead

                  The only advantage Exynos has over Snapdragon with emulation is Exynos performs better with PS Vita emulation since the Vita also has a Mali GPU.

                          I had a monitor with bezels that were in style of phones (glass covering the entire screen but bezels still there. Still broke it when a thing hit the casing from the side. You are not making sense to me.

                            those foldables are very interesting (phone and tablet all in one), but they still have to improve many things and the're still way too expensive

                              GAMIR3DH, 06 May 2023The glass still breaks though, thick bezels or not.There's something called "chance" or "potential". Nobody said that glass doesn't break, but it has smaller chance or potential to break with a thicker bezel.

                                There's nothing special about these fold phones, they're just a irrelevant gimmick. Give us meaningful upgrades like better screens, battery life, durability, better camera. Last 3 years it's just rehashing the same s..tuff over and over again, I'm really tired of these phone companies and these fold phones that have ultra weak plastic displays. There's not enough innovation and technological advancement so the companies can only resort to stupid things like these fold phones.

                                  didn't google see the bezel size?
                                  Is that something google pixely?
                                  They should changed the name of the line up and put it Google Bezel.
