Hopefully they swap out the Snpadragon Gen 7 1 with the Gen 7 2 chip. The second gen chipset has 4k60 support while the first doesn't, which makes the first gen chip kind of useless.

Samsung sells most of their phones through carriers, many of them are even offered for free, or a very little amount of money. Not exactly hard to sell like that.

everyone has their opinion on phone brands.
you must be living in usa where samsung and apple are domimant. there are still plenty other brands out there, like oppo, xiaomi, and realme. it might not have the best marketshare but they still offer some good phones at reasonable price.
so. if they have the high quality phones, should i even be forced to buy them?? no.. i dont need all 5 years 10 years neither 1 century of software update, neither all users usually have 2-3 years of usage to change phones.

However, I have no reason not to believe that you have seen HTC and Sony advertise their phones before, but even if they did that in the UK and possibly some other countries, it would still be nowhere near the same amount as Apple's and Samsung's advertisement.
