In case of ... morehuawei has slightly better camera in some situations (except social media) compared to apple or samsung. however, it has too many defects in everyday smartphone functionality like non-HDR video streaming, no android auto, no google assistant, no 3rd party app location services (for uber, foursquare, etc...), limited local app support, no NFC support (outside China), non-optimised UI for most languages (icon names don't fit well), old chipset, no 5G, slow UFS 3.1 storage. that is not proper smartphone. besides, huawei isn't making much aftersales channel investment for customer services and spare part availability either. their r&d costs are very low since China has the cheapest engineers in the world. why ask for a premium price without premium costs or user experience? all these defects are forgiven for a slightly better camera experience and $25 charger brick?

But many people will rather buy S23 Ultra or iPhone 14 Pro for the same price of Huawei Mate 50 Pro/P60 Pro. Also people would rather buy Z Fold4 than more expensive Mate X3 of Honor Magic V Fold. Yes it is a sad fact, Samsung has cheaper foldables in Europe than chinese companies. And that is also true for the regual candybar phones. Why buy OnePlus 11 if they can buy iPhone 14 or S23 for the same price.

max worth €600-700 for huawei. too many defects,missing features and compatibility issues to pay similar price with a well established and universally compatible device like apple or samsung. huawei has less r&d costs, less aftersales investment costs and still greedy to ask a premium price. this makes no sense.

Patrik , 09 May 2023All Chinese phones are overpriced in Europe. Tell that to Poco F5 and F5 Pro there is no better phone not even close one to them in price range. Even a Nonchinese like Samsung A54 or SE 2022 arent that great.

You can freely download app called Gbox from google it will add nice and clean fully working android to your Huawei device.
But like i said Harmony is better without google services. Like Apple would be better if they swap IOS for much better android or Harmony.

If you are buying an Android flagship anyway it's probably best to keep it for at least 4 years. After 4 years they are all pretty much worthless. I don't get the idea of think of a phone as an investment. It you want to make an investment then you can invest in shares (although you can't buy Huawei shares as it's a private company)
