Everyone knows they are perceived as a mid-range brand while Huawei and Apple are always considered premium. Huawei is known for its flagships while Xiaomi is known for Redmi phones. Now what happens when you remove Huawei? The Chinese won't go to Samsung, it is a joke in China. So yes Apple gained the most. Vivo and Oppo very little.

Well, that's how the Chinese usually goes. Go in with the "best: deal regardless of the methods, until they got caught. Besides, I doubt France or even the EU is a significant market for Oppo.
Besides, their guy just built Nothing. BBK can always just buy Nothing and they're back.

Apple, Samsung, Sony, Google, Nokia and maybe Motorola are more than enough if they remain in the European market. BBK and Xiaomi can exit this market from my point of view.

With the prices companies are forced to sell in such markets, the only thing they do is stuffing ads in their devices, bloatware and trackers, the other route would be to work pro bono.

Now take a look at the Xiaomi share on Chinese and global market in last 5 years. What do you see? They're on the same spot on Chinese market but globaly their sales went to skies. I wonder why. Maybe because Chinese people lile to buy more premium devices, maybe because Huawei was being percived as a premium brand and Xiaomi not so much? Yeah, maybe.

P. S. Let's not forget that Europe has, maybe, 500 millions people. The collective west is about 1 billion people. The rest of the world are the real market for these companies. For those who forget, these companies have created a lot of jobs in different countries. Who's gonna take their place to employ those people?
Also the Europe's high taxation, especially against China, are making us poor, not them. Europe already lost the access to cheap resources.
The big reset seems to happen and is not good for majority of people.
