Prophet, 11 May 2023For the last decade or so:
Hype train 1 - VR = dead
Hype ... moreor the last decade or so:
Hype train 1 - VR = dead
Hype train 2 - Metaverse = dead
Hype train 3 - AI = guess what :
All these things are too ahead of their time, that's their problem
I have no doubt all these three things will succeed in the future.

Google has people within microsoft (I wont say who) that will keep google.search safe by making people require a (microsoft )account to search using bing.
These are the same people who killed the surface mini and alsp prevented microsoft from giving away windows phone away for free like google did with Android, to prevent windows phone from becoming a competitor to android.
So I think google search is safe for now.

Integrate it into all your Google services too and you'll have a winner and do it fast and well. Let loose Skynet if you have to.

if u hate seeing this type of stuff just set your account to under 18 it will block it but knowing Google they will most likely add a filtered bard soon, and get sued by the eu again...
(on a side note, why are under 18 accounts allowed to sign up to Google One, a paid service?)

There have been so many cautionary tales about AI and its threat to mankind, but we're inexorably following the same path.
