Looks awesome. When you put on the right kind of wallpaper on that secondary display, it will surely turn some heads. That secondary display also looks good enough for all secondary tasks. General specs are also pretty good all around. I just hope it comes with IPX8 water resistance.

Anonymous, 13 May 2023I guess you’re waiting for the Razr 80 Ultra to come out, lol.Personally, flip-style phones don't interest me enough for me to purchase one. I prefer a book-style foldable, and if the Vivo X Fold2 did not have such inferior cameras, I would get the red one in a heartbeat. It looks very much like my kind of phone. But yes, I guess I will be waiting for a while until phone manufacturers don't gimp their foldables in different ways like with low resolution, bad cameras, noticeable creases (this one is more of a minor annoyance), bad sizes and bad aspect ratios.
There is someone I know though that has the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 who would be very much interested in such a phone.

2. The first Galaxy Fold did come first, but they were talking clamshells - the Razr 2019 came out before the Z Flip did in 2020.

Pixel Fold for me but not for $1800. Pixels have terrible resale value and overall sales don't even compare to Apple and Samsung. So remain patient and wait when you can pick one up for under $1000 from trade-in deals.
Some of the colors for this Razr 40 Ultra does looks nice but I don't feel the need to get a third foldable clamshell when the two I already have still work perfectly after nearly 2 years. I want a book-style foldable this time.

When the Flip 5 comes out it's going to bring the hammer to the competition. Unlike book folds, clamshells do not have better hardware than Samsung. But, clamshells are the most popular foldable form factor so there is room for everyone to have success. They just won't be as successful as Samsung until Apple comes on board.

Now this makes me excited for the future of flip-style phones. If under-display cameras can come to market and not have their associated quirks, then I could see Motorola adding a telephoto lens and having all of the rear cameras (as well as the front-facing selfie camera/s but irrelevant for my point) be under-display. You could potentially have an amazing and large outer screen with no issues whatsoever. Also, you wouldn't need the flash module as the outer screen could just light up all of the pixels white, minus of course the ones that are covering the cameras themselves. This would mean the screen could also be even bigger.

Thing is is ever since Motorola became Chinese people don't trust it as much .. and that's probably the right way of thinking. Also Samsung has the better One UI and quicker also longer update cycle
