Anonymous, 12 May 2023Since when phones full of cost cuts are flagships? S21 FE... moreS21 FE launched in the US at 699USD. 888 is not a midrange chip, nor is the price. It's a mix of a watered down flagship and true midrange.

Anonymous, 12 May 2023Are you from US? Not much variety in your example. I am in the US. There are many phones here but the variety is not that big. I only seen iPhones, Samsung phones, Moto phones and a couple of Huaweis and OnePlus-es.

rizki1, 12 May 2023LG should be like HTC and Meizu, why should they leave? if ... moreSales of LG were not low. LG was 3rd in USA and Latam.

Amount of devices sold was more than realme sells today.
Problem was the revenue was not being enough to cover money LG invested to make the devices.
The G and V series were selling too low. Majority was buying K series and those low ends made for carriers in USA (phones below $130).
This does not work unless LG was able to make phones at super low cost , like many chinese OEMs can. But LG could not.

I guess it's smart for HTC to return to the market at a midrange price point, but it's kind of sad that they left the premium phone field. HTC was a pioneer manufacturer of handheld computing! They built the Compaq IPaq which was the first real handheld device that had real computing power. They built the first Android phones for T-Mobile. They were the best for a long time. They just couldn't keep up with the marketing might of Apple and Samsung. 😢

some idiot, 12 May 2023Cool, launched in my birthday. Also my birthday! HTC didn't make it though, Pixel 7a will do

Just bring back unibody metal built & boom front firing spekears ! That will set them apart from the rest of oem (except sony)

If they keep selling phones with generic design & overpriced , no one will buy it.. 108 +2 + 2 camera? That just another oneplus & realme.

                    wakala

LG should be like HTC and Meizu, why should they leave? if sales are low, should wait and see why.

Who digged the grave, be honest???
