I think you misunderstood. I am not talking about usb cables. You might replace your cable for 50 cents, but if your phone port is damaged I am sure it will cost way more than 50 cents(of whatever currency).

My 70 dollars smartphone from unnamed brand uses USB c and has OTG also
I don't why big brands still uses micro USB till today

Anonymous, 14 May 2023I know type C is more convenient but how the heck do you bo... moreExactly, I don't get why everyone bashing microusb. It's the sweetspot between mini and type c. I have never had trouble plugging it in the 10+ years I have used it.
Mini was too squarish and type c is too thin to get the orientation correct.
Also type c port gets damaged(happened to me twice) when you try multiple times to plug in wrong orientation but not with micro USB.

I'm using my 3rd android phone since 2013 but never used any android go phone.
Looking at those specs i kind of fear using such device.
But it's ok for somebody who needed at low cost.

LOL, microUSB. A few years ago, I might understand, but in 2023, it’s stupid. Even random cheap household electronics nowadays use USB-C already. I have a no-name portable droplet diffuser for disinfecting stuff, and it’s USB-C. It’s not about price, it’s just Xiaomi having no vision of where their products should go so they just keep copy pasting the old.

We gotten tired wi... moreI'm sorry to tell you but USB-C is currently the "de facto" connector and Micro USB and Mini USB are barely holding on to the market with most use cases for those cables being cheap phones and older devices. You cannot stop USB-C.

Finally, microUSB aficionados rejoice !! We gotten tired with watered down USB-C with 2.0 speed so this is very welcome change.
Hopefully they release another varian with micro-B or mini USB as well, USB-C need competition and I love checking cable orientation each time I plugging cable into my device, especially in the dark place.
