It uses a larger sensor and higher quality lens compared to previous generations, also it switched over to sensor-shift image stabilization.

Great to know techno is serious about improving their brand and its image. Hope they invest in fixing their biggest issue, their user experience aka their skin on top of android.

I expected a few more comments. Not many but a few.
The hardware and claims sound promising. I would like to see how this compares to the latest from Samsung, Xiaomi, Sony, and iPhone. It does seem to at least have potential. Interested how raw might do.

thedeev1, 17 May 2023That ultrawide should be very good for macro shots. Now if only we had a periscope telephoto that could also do macro using variable focal apertures.

That ultrawide should be very good for macro shots.

Tecno offers least software, security, bug, and Android support or upgrades. They install a lot of annoying adwares to their phones as well. Avoid buying until they offer atleast 3+ years of Android upgrades and 4 years of security support on their phones.

Removing half of color filter increases light sensibility by 100%.
                Not over 200%.

Not particularly interested in Tecno's phones in general, but this is the kind of innovation we need with smartphone cameras. I'm really glad Tecno have tried this out, and that they have a 108 MP ultrawide with PDAF instead of the standard shitty 12 MP ultrawide without even basic autofocusing, or if lucky, regular AF rather than something better.

Wish GSMArena team could do a review of the 20 Premier
