Main sensor size is relatively karge and also has an high resolution.
There Main can still has 22MP at 3times, and you can see it by cropping from 200MP inage instead of using the 3Times telephoto.

Feanor12, 30 May 2023It would be very interesting to compare some of 2023 phone ... moreMany phones will come and go, but nokia 808 will be remembered in the history of cameraphones.

It would be very interesting to compare some of 2023 phone with 200 MP with quadbayer sensor with Nokia 808 PureView from 2012 with 41 MP but with 1/1.2" CMOS sensor. I still have this Nokia and it's still working awsome - and it has lots of details and natural colours without artificial sharpening and 'oil paintings'.

      Btw... Nokia 808 also has:
      - losless zoom
      - Xenon flash
      - HDMI mini port
      - ND filter
      - mechanical shutter
      - glass lens
      - physical 2-stage camera button
      - autofocus, face detection, hyperfocus...
      - oversampling from 41 MP to 8 MP gives very nice noise free pixels
      - pixel binning was non-destructive, meaning the user could reframe the image or zoom in after the shot was taken
      - 'Nokia Rich Recording' audio technology (with 3 HAAC microphones) - 145db audio capture without distortions with superb quality and very wide specter
      - Dolby Digital Plus
      - FM transmitter (not just receiver, transmitter also!)
      - 3.5 audio jack
      - SD card
      - awsome camera app with customizable multiple presets and lots of options for settings
      - USB OTG (you can put mouse in and cursor would actually display on screen)
      - Symbian Belle (was greatly optimised and battery lasts few days; also supports true multitasking)
      - very durable (I have lots of stories what my Nokia 808 survived) -

I'm rly sad that Nokia went with Microsoft and killed Symbian and MeeGo and QT. HMD also doesn't do justice to Nokia old legendary phones.

I would still use Nokia 808 if there would be support for modern apps, banking, google documents and callendar. Even when I was forced to move to new phones (Huawei Mate 20, Nokia 9, Xiaomi Mi Note 10) I actually always have my beloved Nokia 808 always in other pocket - just to take some special photos or for superb audio capture.

This is what samsung should do with their sensor on s23u, 200mp on s23u is just useless atm. When shooting 2x photos, that just crop the 1x 12mp result and upscale it to 12mp again, made the 2x photos really poor quality.

Anonymous, 17 May 2023Is the flash drive not really a solution??Nope. With FDs you need to bring it along with the phone, easily misplaced, and need to plug & wait till it's ready each time you need to transfer data. SDcard is always inside the phone, always ready to read/write data, you can even tell some apps to save their data to SDcard directly.
...and no, cloud storage cannot replace sdcard yet. To use cloud, you must be online, have stable connection, and must set auto sync. It's not instant & globally reliable, unlike sdcard.
...also no, I don't have failed sdcards, even the cheap ones or that 32MB one from 10+ years ago. I do have lots of failed flashdrives.

11 already? damn realme really fast in churning this base number series

this 4x zoom without loss is very good
very interesting if it's about 330 dollars I buy it

I hope there will be an update since the bright areas are overexposed and at night the light sources are also overexposed in photo and video

A lot of noise when you zoom in. 200MP sensor in Samsung s23 Ultra possesses the same issue.

Only upgrade in camera other than nothing. If an India they can go for lava Agni 2 which is almost same as this phone.
