Anonymous, 20 May 2023It's the same story with iPad Pro. Apple give a crazy ... moreI have the Surface Pro 8 (Work), Ipad 11 M1, Tabs8 Ultra plus a few other devices. But these are my main ones.
1. Surface Pro is great, but I don't find myself using it much as a tablet. It's great for all the full apps etc. It doesn't have that intuitive tablet feel to it. I also feel MS are like a year behind on the processor all the time.
2. Ipad M1 11inch 1tb- I have this for a few apps (Shapr (which is now on Windows), and Korg music apps and that's about it now). I can't stand the UX, the file system, and the fact you can't have multi-users. But I do like the speed and constant updates and better choice of apps. I will probably sell this or give it to my nephew for his birthday.
3. Tabs8 Ultra 5g 512gb - This is the one I use every day, in the kitchen, take on holiday, and go camping. It is the best media device. It doesn't have the choice of apps you get on Apple, nor the full-blooded apps on Windows. But the screen is amazing, it's fast, the file system is sooo much better than on Apple, the multi-tasking is easier and Samsung does a great job with the UX using your fingers or pen.
There are compromises for all of them.
If Apple put Mac OS on the Ipad, that would be killer. You can then run iOS apps, Windows 11 for Arm, and if they sort out the virtualization issues maybe even Android!!?
Until then, I will continue with the Tab S8 as a media streamer

You wouldn't want a 720x1560 screen on a S23 ultra either now would you? That would still be a higher ppi than the Tab S9 Ultra. The iPhone 4 even got higher ppi than this.

Apple give a crazy powerful M1/M2 chipset, but only for it to run on a glorified iOS for tablet screen. That's why I got a Surface Pro 8 when sold off my M1 iPad Pro. Needless to say, I'm not regretting that decision at all

I mean, come on, in real normal life condition you can't even rely on tablet's camera much except on emergency situation.

Cpt.Power, 19 May 2023Specs are nice but whats worries me most is the fact for 33... morenot sure they are equal/comparable... the high end samsung tablets have much faster processors, brighter displays, charges faster, better cameras (if you use those) and will be updated for five years, while expect only one major update for lenovo's most expensive tablet

Specs are nice but whats worries me most is the fact for 33% up to 50% less price company like Lenovo can give equal comparable device.

Samsung could easily take the Tab S8/S9 Ultra body and put Windows 11 alongside an Intel x86 CPU. That'd be a worthy rival to the Microsoft Surface Pro 9.
