I think that a good smartphone size should be a palm size which one can touch with a thumb at most of the screen.

Yeah, 'cause online petitions ever changed anything, anything at all, ever. Sure.

If Kickstarter taught us anything, it's that big corps aren't simply mistaken about how many people there are who wish for something - they know EXACTLY how many, they just choose to not give a @$#%$#, because there aren't nearly many enough for them to care.

Nokia had some of the most eye-catching and innovative design before it shot itself in the foot. Really the best. OS came second back then, just pure aesthetics and whatnot. Phones nowadays dont even have the pause button while recording video, and cant do video call over network/MMS if you're not subscribed to a data plan. And innovative features like the FM transmitter, even the 360° charging cable.
So bring back innovative design with physical qwerty slider and 3000+mAh battery, top notch hardware, you'll have my money. And for the love of god stop this madness about creating the thinnest phone.

Xiaomi mi-2, 15 Apr 2013Totally Agree! That's why I ordered the Xiaomi Mi-2. This... moreI have Meizu MX2 and i like it better than Xiaomi. The only large minus is lack of NFC. But it's got better design, ideal size, much better screen.

Chatter Box, 16 Apr 2013Isn't Samsung doing that with their s3 mini and s4 mini? if... moreExcept they don't.
S3 is way superior to S3 mini in terms of CPU, RAM, Camera, screen resolution and so on. They just rely on the brand name 'galaxy s#', but the mini is closer to SII in a smaller package.

Clock like Nokia, even if the mobile's screen is off Clock continues to display.
Gyro, proximity, pressure, temperature, compass with Built in compass app.

4.2 inch is also big. phone should be small and easily pocketable. I prefer high end 3.2 to 3.5 inch phone..... I bought xperia ray, when it got repair i bought one more xperia ray. no other option in this size range, (290 ppi, 1 Ghz, super light 100gms)

Manufacturers can barely manufacture enough parts for their flagships to keep up with consumer demand as it is. While I'm sure there's an actual demand for state-of-the-art internals in smaller packages, I sort of doubt that sector is large enough for the companies to use their top-notch hardware in such devices instead of in their heaviest hitters.
