xperia ray and the iphone 4s, are the best... moreMy dad has a Ray, and he's absolutely thrilled with it.
I have a 4,2" Arc S and it's great, just the resolution could be a bit better.
I do want a high end 4,2" phone. I signed.

hai, smart phone have to be big
i remember trying to do something smart with samsung omnia or SE m600 which have little screen size compare to today smartphone and i have bad experience with small size screen.
its hard to write letters and words dan hardly to do some drawing.
and when you use it to read books or comics or manga, that just can't fit into it.
smartphone have to has a big screen, no question about it, but if you only use it as a PHONE thats a different story, so why not buy a PHONE, feature phone still available and plis dont complain about big screen phone, because more screen size more "smart" thing you can do with your expensive smartphone.

That is certainly true.Cause if this trend of big screen size cell phones goes on, galaxy s 5 is going to be a 42 inches LCD TV!

Id like to see a 4.3'' Motorola Nexus with 2ghz single core intel clover trail and Razr Maxx battery no fluff or crazy bells and whistles..Direct updates from Google just like my current Nexus devices..

Since I have no problems using my SGS3 with only one hand, I can't agree with this for my part. Not everyone has equal-sized hands, though - so this sounds like a good thing.

Yeah, I'll stand behind those specs, but I want more.
I would love to have a bigger (and replaceable) battery (I am playing Turf and its GPS/data usage sucks the battery dry in a couple of hours). Would be cool to be able to hot swap the battery without having to turn the phone off.
Rugged (I want to be able to drop the phone without having to worry about cracked displays),
water resistant (I want to be able to use it in the rain, wash it off when it gets dirty, accidently dropping it in a glass of beer)
I would LOVE to have better tactile/haptic feedback, I want to be able to touch type again (this is my biggest gripe since switching to touch screens). Implement Sensegs e-sense in the screen (would be REALLY cool if they could get Tactus technology to work together with Sensegs tech)
A screen I can actually use in sunlight, without glare or it washing out. Some kind of OLED, or why not a PixelQi/e-ink option?
And yeah, I want to be able to control what is on MY phone. That means: don't prevent apps to be uninstalled (bundled apps that one don't use but takes up memory space/CPU resources are annoying).
Easy to root (Would love to be able to install a regular Linux distro on the phone)
USB-OTG, for connecting USB peripherals

in my opinion
xperia ray and the iphone 4s, are the best phones for people who would like mid sized smartphones hohoho
was hoping that something as powerful as the s4 would eventually get its way to an iphone 4s body or an xperia ray

LordDarkAndroid, 15 Apr 2013A 4.2 inch display of the IPS LCD variety and a resolution ... moreAnd watch the battery disappear in an instant. Big phones don't have that technology yet. A9+A15 6 core.
In my opinion a 4 core A9 CPU would be fine, 3

At the very last, some people understood there is no use for 6 inches screens on phones when you can not even put them in jeans pockets or even use them with just one hand.
And for those who are now requesting more compact phones, you had formerly some good Sony Ericsson, so I think Sony still can conceive and launch compact smartphones. On the contrary, I do not think Samsung can do the same: S3 mini is, amazingly and in my opinion, a failure in front of a SE Xperia Ray, and even in front of a Xperia Mini. By the way, Samsung has never been good at making good compact tactile smartphones.
I think Motorola still can make some too, but in the past, they did not have success and I am not sure about its future in the business, and the same can apply to HTC.
Compact for me means the smartphone has a screen that size less or equal than 3.5 inches.

The Xiaomi Mi-2S is the only thing I would buy at the moment because honestly anything over 4.3 is huge. Even 4.3 can be tough in one hand sometimes, let alone anything bigger. We need more powerful medium sized-devices.
