Bought this product after reading all the reading and watching videos with such great ratings. Box came in , eagerly , excitingly open the box and connected to my iPhone 12 Pro Max (IOS 16.5), downloaded and upgrade the firmware, did the hearing test, and oh my goodness, what a mediocre sound quality. What a disappointment on my iPhone. Haven't tried it on Android .

hmm i think the craze of tws is happening. many modern phones are starting to remove audio jack, even midrangers are getting involved.

Another mediocre TWS product? The frequency response curve on the packaging alone speaks morr than a thousand words already!

It really depends on the device and the music source when it comes to sound quality. I have 2 earbud sets. One costs $75, the other one $250. They sounded similar to me when playing at the highest lossless quality in Apple Music using a flagship android phone

Honestly LDAC won't have as much impact on your sound as the driver tuning.

Many high end earbuds still only use SBC and sound amazing.

Also, LDAC's highest quality is basically science fiction, as you will rarely reach it out in the real world where electronic interference is rife, and it's lower quality settings are not great. Worse than AptX.

Also AptX CODEC's have built in Qualcom chipset decoders that are more power efficient.

... And the most damning of all...

Android audio output is set to max out at 24-bit / 48kHz on most phones anyway at the system level.

If you want serious sound only an external DAC will deliver that.

For lossless audio, if the phone or the source device supports LDAC, it will be closer to a similar quality wired headphones compared to non LDAC buds.
For lossy audio (e.g. MP3 or Spotify), it does not matter.
In my experience, in general the headphones with LDAC sound noticeably better than the headphones that support only SBC.
However, for the headphone that can be connected both via 3.5 and bluetooth/ LDAC: the same songs sound better through wired connection.

Are they somewhat comparable to wired earphones, ignoring the latency issue?

I heard of Tozo a couple years back. The T6 and T10 looked solid but I didnt have the money to buy them lol and I still dont.

I've had Tozo earbuds in the past and they're pretty good with the quality though I heard their mobile app isn't great (my earbuds weren't compatible with the app and this was before I knew about codecs).
