I have a few phones like Sony XZ, Huawei Y6P and Samsung A03s with eMMC that still perform well. Yes, eMMC is slower than UFS especially when updating apps, but they are still working after years of use.

HopeFilledIdiot, 19 May 20232 year warranty on a very tightly priced phone? Definitely ... moreMost current electronics can last for years without issues due to most components are now solid state. Offering 2 years of warranty actually won’t cost Xiaomi much. Most of the phones will last longer than that, and I bet the warranty won’t cover accidental damages nor reduced battery capacity, the two things that are commonly happening on people replacing/repairing their ohones.
