Meta slapped with €1.2 billion fine by EU over GDPR breaches

23 May 2023
The company transferred personal data from Europe to the United States.

Even Google and it's various companies are in breach. They need to be fined in €Billions too.

EU & US's philosophy is to ban or fine competitive companies that do not belong to them. For EU those are US companies, and for US those are China companies...

DZii, 23 May 2023The thing is: Meta pay the fine to EU but the money goes to... moreAnd who is going to get the money? You? Me? People who don't even use Facebook? How are you going to prove it? The fines are meant to be "educational" to the corporations so they don't do that s**t again and the money from fines is often used for further privacy infrastructures and laws which EU certainly does utilize well. Usually the question is, does a company actually pay that fine in the end because most often they don't, which is why they so carelessly ignore the privacy laws, because they make tons of money from breaking them and hoarding user data.

Everyone know facebook is a regular offender. Yet everytime they just get another fine.
Will the law close the company's operations, even if for 10 days?

And facebook users, get ready to pay this fine by watching more and more ads...

The thing is: Meta pay the fine to EU but the money goes to EU but not the users who are affected with data collection.

Strange no? Cause real people are affected, but EU are the ones fill the pockets of their idiotic representators.

Yes, i love on Europe too...and i AM done, enough of bsht corruption.

Seems like this is the end of META and Facebook for their Tax avoiding from Ireland.
                    Well done.

Should’ve been much more considering they keep doing shady stuff like this and have already been fined in the past. I honestly don’t even know how they’re still allowed to operate…

                            Shame on you Zuckerberg

Yeah and TikTok is the biggest issue..

They should just ban meta now. It's getting ridiculous.
