JoXim, 23 May 2023Because slim phones are joy to use and easy to handle. And... moreiirc the 810 was the terrible processor gen where it was way too hot and overheating all the time, 820 wasn't the best but it wasn't horrible and was much better in comparison. 821 is where it actually good again. 821, 835, 845, 855, 865, 860, 870 all good then it got bad again with the 888 and 8 Gen 1. So Qualcomm seems to repeat itself

Samasungs and iPhones are also made in India, but are priced higher than Europe and US.

notafanboy, 23 May 2023Wow, a Motorola fanboy, you people exist?ask in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil where it is second, in sales only behind apple! Yes, Mottola has many fans, they just need to polish some things to leave behind other cheap Chinese brands!!! and don't tell me which motorcycle is Chinese just why Lenovo is!

notafanboy, 23 May 2023Wow, a Motorola fanboy, you people exist?Yes we do exist

I guess that's because of ergonomics. A slim ~6.5 inch phone will have bigger screen and bigger battery than a compact phone while still being fairly easy to handle.
I love compact phones but there are no good options in this price bracket, none. For people like us these lightweight "big" phones are a good compromise while also not hurting the sales figures for the brand, as general public has big screen as a priority over battery life.
If they did compact options for the same device the screen size alone will defer a lot of buyers from getting it.
These phones are good for the brand and a decent option for the compact phone loving crowd, a compromise still but when there are no options you might as well compromise.

it's nuts what can you get Android for this price, a $400 iPhone alone is built with crappy battery, small storage, crappy screen, crappy camera, crappy OS, no charge etc and people who buy these saying they want an iPhone lol just because the OS looks the same.

And even with protective case thay are much more manageable than most other phones.
And being slim doesn't indicate that the battery life will be poor...
Edge 40 and 40 pro are a proof of that...
Edge 30 fusion, which i had, is a proof of that.
You are comparing these modern phones with ancient Moto Z with SD 820(code name: Furnace) and pathetic 2600 mah battery.

That price is great in India. It's way better than the Redmi note 12 pro+ for example which launched at the same price in India. Has to be one of the best phones available in India for that price

Not to mention 68W charger will be able to charge to 80% in half an hour. Also helps to keep the phone light. Only disappointing thing is lack of 3.5mm jack
