If they still charged those prices no one would buy them. At least the Mate x line has been constantly pushing on what a foldable cab be and that comes with expenses in R&D hence the high price. These are flagships meant for people that are well off not the p or nova series that are meant for the masses.

Cisterna, 23 May 2023The foldable at that price is pretty much dead on arrival As a fan of Huawei it saddens me that they priced that phone too much, I mean you could buy an entire computer set up in 2000 Euros, for the P60 Pro is just priced right, but with so many people crying over 5g and with the lack of google services, which many people desperately needs, I don't know if Huawei can sold many units of these devices, but with many work arounds emerging in the internet these days I think some techy people can get their hands on the P60 Pro

PepperPot, 24 May 2023If you believe the US Government or the Democratic Party is... moreactually you don't need an article or so to believe that the US government is spying, they have been spying since the 1950s using their U2 spyplane and the Lockheed Martin SR - 71 Blackbird. Also they are caught spying their own allies. I will give you a link with that.

If any brand would even remotely try to do what this wannabes want, we would have no smartphones by now, probably no tech all together. And maybe that won't even be such a bad thing, at the end people might start to appreciate more the perks of having a smartphone and not talking about RAMs an CPUs, but about functionality and convenience that went away because of their own ignorance.

HarmonyOS or whatever they want to call it, is android without google services, i actually find this a good practice, what i do not find good, is that huawawei implented their own services, who does not want google spy on their devices, those ones are definetly not gonna buy devices with chinese spy implemented in them.

Magic-and-Mate, 23 May 2023Same as Democratic Party: https://www.androidpolice.com/... moreYou probably never bothered to research what eavesdropping is, and what a hacker can do. To accuse a guvernments of something based on a security issue found and fixed is like accusing randome highway builders or maintenance workers for the nail in your wheal.

software, universal compatibility and aftersales availability. huawei is a half phone for daily usage. slightly better camera does not compensate all it's faults.

Magic-and-Mate, 24 May 2023Of course I read it, but logically I don't believe in ... moreI get security notifications from linux, windows, edge, opera, firefox, my phone and my smartwatch all the time. Those updates are usually security related. They are called patches. That is common because people write the programs and they make mistakes hackers can exploit.

Not only did google provide a patch, they paid 100k to the person that found the vulnerability. You would know that if you read the article you posted. Apple also pays people to find security flaws. Just point out where the article proves or even implies the US government or the democratic party was spying on citizens using this speaker. I don't think that is too much to ask.

It's your reference point. Did you actually read the article? The author doesn't draw that conclusion and they make no reference to spying by anyone in particular. The article is about a security vulnerability hackers can take advantage of.

Again, did you actually read the article you posted? I guess you thought no one here would. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You'd be surprised how little data communists collect compared to google which does it 24/7 just because its "apps work better" meanwhile you have the same apps from the Huawei store and they do exactly the same thing
I currently have a OnePlus 7 all google apps disabled including chrome last time i charged my phone yesterday now i have 48% battery
