CargoJoe, 24 May 2023Decent but not too good. IQoo Neo 8 series is *NOT* a flagship
This is a flagship killer category.

    Decent but not too good.

      Anders, 23 May 2023Every time I think phones can't get worse... They get ... moreWhy don't you become CEO of every smartphone company? You sure seem to have wacky ideas. I'm sure the design team will welcome you. :)

        Iqoo smartphones NEVER reach/come to Europe. NEVER. Only available in Asia, India.

          Jokesonyou, 23 May 2023Why do they hate ultrawide so much but love 2mp trash cams ... moreThe answer is the same reason why in supermarkets

          If you buy 3 of the same products you get a discounted rate

          Consumers just want what they want but business is business and manufacturers get incentives for purchasing at higher volumes or buying things in bundles

            Every time I think phones can't get worse... They get worse

            No headphone, no microSD and now no ultrawide camera except for the Pro one. 8mp ultrawide camera is now a upper midrange feature 🤣🤣

            Neo8 should've had a 12mp ultrawide with AF and a 5mp macro with AF.
            Pro should've added a 12mp telephoto. Keep the main cam with OIS the same

            And whatever their China price is global one will be double

                iQOO Neo 8 Pro:

                - flat screen!! at least, it seems so;
                - 450+ ppi screen (also 120+ Hz and HDR, no info on PWM tho);
                - LPDDR5X RAM;
                - UFS 4.0 storage;
                - BT 5.3;
                - aptX codecs;
                - 5000 mAh battery and less than 200g weight;
                - even OIS on main camera, stereo speakers and actual proximity sensor;

                That's a rare combination of specs; if it has no problems with cooling and a decent global version (I'm looking at you, Redmi K60 Pro), and if its 16/256 costs less than K60P's 12/256 - then that sounds like a fine deal. Never used BBK's phones though, hope they have decent software at this point.

                            Anonymous, 23 May 2023Imagine selling a phone with a flagship phone but doesn... moreIt's not a flagship. It's a midranger. This is the Neo series which is not IQOOs flagship series. Personally, think its fine to have no ultrawide. The 8mp ultrawides are pretty bad anyway. For this price in China it is very good. A good main sensor is more important. Plus you get the V1+ isp. Also some new wifi antenna technology. Given the midrange price it is surely a very well specced phone. It would be different if they were charging a lot for it but this is priced just 100rmb ($15) more than the Redmi note 12 turbo (aka Poco F5) launched at for the same 12gb 256gb variant. That's pretty good

                                  Imagine selling a phone with a flagship phone but doesn't even have ultrawide camera. I can forgive it if it has USB3 with video output, but it didn't.

                                    Those prices are nice..
