18.4.2013 but no Jelly bean !!! really how much time needed just for an update????!!! every body talking about 4.2 but we still waiting for 4.1 !!! pls update SL to 4.1 faster... i just asking for what i pay !!! sony with this method you will have a same name and roll like LG (lies good)

I am fan of SONY but now a days very slow support for phones within year.
Purchased costly pHone XS but were is JB yet.No official statement of sony about delay after april first week.
I hate sone for this type of support.
I will go for HTC or sAMSUNG.
They do fast updates and innovatuion than sony.
Last 8-10 year m using only SE brand.

Im pretty sure Sony will not keep the promise to update Z next year. There is a simple reason for that. New phones have to be selling well enough and THEN old, capable phones will get OS update.

can't i use the update firmware from the phone itself?
cause don't know why kies somehow doesn't work on my laptop to detect my Galaxy Note, after i plug in my Galaxy Note it just doesn't show up in kies...

I bet these updates will never take place until Samsung announce them but even they do they'll won't be able to keep their promise. But why in May why,,,,,,not now where did gsm arena get this info. It's a disgrace to the developer when that bring a first model out on any device and success has been in selling other newer devices they forget the original one brought out.

N7000 galaxy note, already is on jelly bean not 4.2 but still jelly bean 4.1.2

I'm just very disappointed in Sony updates, lets release Android 4.1 for 1 core processor and Adreno 200 Xperia J and not for Dual-Cores with Mali 400 GPU (Xperia U & Sola) and all the update delays for Xperia S and P (From which hoping to port Jellybean)

I am fed up with updates from Sony. Xperia S is their flagship device and they have no care for that.
In all ways the device sucks. The camera is poor....
Battery is poor.... response is poor.....
latest i got a software update 1 month back and after that the respose of the device is slow.... some apps close down..... i will never tak this device again...
I will go with the next Nexus... Value for money..

I will just get a Nexus next time provided its not made by sony, Yellow screen, bad focus, second replacement... same issues. I am disgusted I have waited to see if an update could fix it.. from what I hear the xperia z has many issues as well and sony remain silent.. they are good at that.

Xperia S from 3 in Sweden said it will be released next week, week 17.
Week 17 starts on 22nd April.

I lost my Xperia SL, and I don't think I will ever again do an Xperia, unless Sony makes a Nexus. Their devices are great, to an extent, but I will not stand for being completely disregarded because I am an owner and not a new buyer. I own several Sony devices (Laptop, Phone, Consoles), and I have come to learn that this is how they operate. They completely leave their old stuff behind in the hunt for more sales. It's also why they overprice their goods. They have a good product, but are falling behind and are scrambling to recuperate.
The only way that at this point I feel that I will ever want another Sony phone is if they make a Nexus. Which would be awesome, and given the fact that they cooperated together on the AOSP, it would seem hopeful, but knowing Sony, it is doubtful.

which samsung note is the actually getting jelly bean getting as i got the i717 and im still waiting for the update
