Still on GW3 Titanium, was hesitant to buy a Watch5 (Pro for the better stamina but DAMN the thickness), the lack of rotating bezel that was missing and back, yet perhaps it's better for swimming without though.
I want at least 2 days of full battery life, in 2023 this should be it ... I had it on my Gear S3 Frontier back in the days 🙈

Looking pretty. I've been waiting for the rotating bezel to come back, I own a Watch4 Classic and I like it very much.

I'll agree and say that apps on a SmartWatch is dumb, so moving from Tizen to wearOS was a terrible decision. Even Apple is starting to acknowledge that apps on watches arent that popular.

A dear this is thick as a brick... Are there a compartment for doggy bags or something???
I simply can not understand why none of the known brands make smart watches the size of watches.
I mean when a small Chinese brand can make 7mm thin round ø43mm watch (volume less 10ml) with over three weeks of stamina, why can't the well known brands wake up, and make a decent size smart watch??
All we see are these huge divers watch style monsters, or square pill-boxes on a string.
Does anyone use these with a shirt with long sleeves and/or a jacket?

Frank, 24 May 2023The watch is not even released and here we have the trolls ... moreIf you have a Samsung mobile you can utilize all the Samsung Health app features with the Samsung watch but some features like ECG etc will only be available if you live in one of the 33ish countries which have accredited this function otherwise is similar with the Huawei watch i.e GT series have exceptional battery life way more than Samsung and is near the top of the list (Samsung is good but not up there see "Quantified Scientist" YT) along with Apple for sensor accuracy has accreditation in several countries also but if you have Huawei phone then you can access other functions also.

Frank, 24 May 2023The watch is not even released and here we have the trolls ... moreCurrently on a Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro, having used a Huawei Watch GT2 previously, what I can say so far is:
- Samsung's sleep tracking is trash-tier
- Samsung's heart rate tracking is better
- Samsung's battery life is abysmal in comparison (3 days on the 5 Pro, compared to 12 days on the GT2, both with continuous monitoring active)
- Huawei does not allow data syncing with non Huawei-health apps (3rd party apps exist, though most are paid)
- Samsung's temperature sensor is on the watch, works, but you cannot make any use out of it (there is a single use case for period tracking, but even that is labeled as "beta" and hidden away)
Smart watches are just a dumb thing, unless you specifically need to respond to messages from your watch, a cheap fitness tracker will replace pretty much anything else on offer for several hundred $

Never buying Samsung watch again. Watch4 were the worst device I've ever owned. Laggy and sub par battery life. Never again

I had samsung galaxy watch 3, watch 5 classic, watch 5 pro respectively and I was planning to buy watch 6 later. I've never heard of such a ridiculous strategy as it looks like the samsung watch 4 classic. I think it's a very valid reason not to buy watch 6.

yalim, 24 May 2023watch5 does not charge with regular qi wireless chargers. w... moreThe coils for wireless charging inside the watch are too small to work with normal qi. Same as the pixel watch and apple watch.
Reverse wireless charging from a Samsung phone works at least, unlike with the pixel watch and a pixel phone.

even with the rotating bezel samsung smarteatches look like those cheap smartwatches for children. samsung should have a look at huawei watches like watch ultimate and watch 4 pro.
