Weird that nobody complain about the price with old hardware in this Pixel Fold while 1/3 of comments under 13 Ultra all complain about 1500 too high price.
I would say Pixel is nothing different and i dont see anything good with any of there devices. They have like base model and then pro model a year and then half a year later have the phone gen number with a behind it that is more compact and more low hardware like screen and cams as the cpu is same like Pixel 7, 7 Pro with the 7a that was released half a year later over 7 and 7 Pro and now they add 4th device and it's Pixel Fold
They have high premium price for every one of there devices while dont offer much of premium with them. You just get your 4 OS updates and 5 years of security updates with decent middle class hardware and materials also.
For example Pixel 7a in my country cost same amount as for year 18 months old Samsung Galaxy S22 that is more compact as 6mm shorter then Pixel 7a with same 6.1 inch screen. While with S22 you get all flagship specs without fast charger that is as slow as 25W But well it's 18W on pixel too so at least with S22 you have better.
Also i need to correct to 5 devices a year as there is also Pixel tablet now that they have not done for some time

Anonymous, 26 May 2023Pixel is assembled by foxconn (taiwanese) in China Taiwan is not in China as it's recognized as it's own country while China want to take over that country and add it under China as there is you difference you probably dont understand.
Never mind the culture is similar and work culture also so the quality should be same for both Taiwan and China

Looks like a gorgeous device. The ad looks good. I like how the hinge stays put, really well as if it's on a tripod for astro and other photography etc.

You are making a deal out of someone buying a product they like.
I don't see anything wrong with the Pixel Fold.
Yes, the price is a bit unreasonable but that doesn't stop some people from buying.

Bezels are comparable to first gen Galaxy Fold, which was released in 2019.
Simple facts.
If you're into spending a couple grands on hardware that's already multiple gens behind, that's on you.

I ordered 512gb twice. Cancelled first order to order with exchange for iPhone I got used off swappa. Was about a week after I ordered near initial preorder date. My expected delivery went from mid June to mid July. So even as there was "stock" of the 512gb something about fulfillment and supply they were pushing ship dates a good bit for bit later orders.
