Huawei Mate X3 and P60 are selling very well in China

Despite the lack of 5G, both phones are selling well domestically.

P60 Pro lacks 5G. It has old SoC.
Still chinese costumers choose it over 13 ultra, x90 pro+ and x6 pro.

Been saying that for years now lol they're banned because apple, us etc felt the threat in performance, software and cameras. Everyone who played with the p20, p30 etc saw how smooth and polished the software was becoming, everyone saw how good the photos and videos were becoming, how smooth and fast the UI etc Apple saw that, US powers saw that, they're not blind so they stopped it before it was a big problem.
    But lot of people fail to see behind "the curtain".

              Who use mobile data nowadays. Most of the people use Wi-Fi, in office even in home. 1 Wi-Fi connection more than 8 people can be connected.

              Until going outside i don't use mobile data.

              Mobile data is limited but Wi-Fi is unlimited.

                I know MOST unmarried that rent an apartment and live alone were MOSTLY on Mobile data.
                Because renting WiFi would be more expensive for them.

                And some married couple that both work and have no kid were might be on mobile data as well.

                    this is great news for Huawei, in my country Huawei p60 pro and mate X3 are now selling, but I doubt many people would buy the mate X3 as its price is almost 2000 USD. But I think the P60 Pro will sell well because it is price the same as the mate 50 pro when it was released.

                      Facts, 28 May 2023OK but Apple is Nr1 in China It's not. Its marketshare varies from 22% in release quarter (q4) to 13-14% in q2-q3. So averaging annually 17%.

                            There are rumours that later this year or next year Huawei will have 5G chipsets but not under their kirin brand.

But no 5g is a major dealbreaker for many people. That's what's really curtailing their sales. That and the restrictions on having their own Kirin chips manufactured. The Kirin chips were what really won the hearts of many within China
