n80 is better than this crap. s-e are full of hard &soft problems. I had 2 n80 in the last 2 years and they worked fine except battery life. No brand is lower than se now. Their 8mp is a big crap except camera res. Nokia will have the best 8mp mobiles, like they always did

There has been no phone coming from Sony Ericsson that can really turn your heads.
There was a time when they had launched K750 with 2MP camera and a great music player. At that time, it was great or I should say the best phone.
But after that, they didnt really progress. Nokia came with very nice phones, LG with its innovative Chocolate phones, 120fps phones and now the Apple iPhone. But, nothing great from SE.

I really think that SE has lost it. Bad phones with bad specs.

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2008after the success of N95, se starting follow nokia use ... morehey kid, listen here.
no one give a damn how popular and successful N95 was.

firstly, they dont invent GPS, TV-out nor Wifi.
So any company can have the rights to have them on their phones.

secondly, any japanese phones are having them as basic features. copying nokia? And let me correct you, copy is not a correct term to use. what about nokia copying SE, designated for expedient, with their memory card slot at the side of their phones rather than behind those nokia's battery?

thirdly, seriously get a life and we doesn't need a nokia fanboy writing insensible, nonsensical stuffs here.

lastly. look back at your terrible english grammer, check it out with your nokia's dictionary.

Wonderkid, 09 Sep 2008My Nokia E71 (brilliant phone) is a business phone yet does... moreI would strongly agree with you that the K800i was a truly revolutionary device that still stands its own against the very latest devices. In fact, unless one specifically requires a more miniaturised device, it could be argued that it is the K800i which remains Sony Ericsson's finest all-rounder to date.

What is welcome from this device and the K660i and the G502, is that Sony Ericsson is wanting to design and promote mobile devices as primary gateways to accessing the internet. In Japan, for example, many people access the web through their mobiles more than through their PCs. We all, I am sure, hope that SE can concentrate on continue being a true innovator which is how it became successful in the first place.

if not wrong, the main reason SE not launching any phone with UIQ OS is that sony UIQ is gona sell to NOKIA. as sony's UIQ aren't that popular compare to window OS, Linux or even the world largest user Operating Symbian : NOKIA Symbian S60.

so next year sony will launch phones with Symbian S60 which is from Nokia that you are able to find in samsung innova 8Megapixel.

great design but why gsmarena says that it's Loaded with a bunch of goodies such as a large 2.4-inch QVGA display??

N85, 0.7 gram heavier. with 5megapixel using carl zeiss with auto forcus(which could be found on sony digi camera but somehow the colouring of nokia device is better then the W series of sony's), and a larger screen of 2.6 with the world first and biggest LED screen on phone. and also 1 year ago nokia can download youtube videos and also bit torrent download using your mobile.

so it looks like GSM got paid or something? thats why?

and oh ya, Sony sold 22.4million sets on 2Q of 2008
while NOKIA sold 122million.. CHEERS SE fans.

and the last thing, GSM DIDN'T announce that Nokia buying over the not so popular OS of Symbian UIQ from SonyEricsson & Moto.
and Samsung, panasonic and siemens also agree to sell their shares.

NOKIA will come out a whole new Symbian foundation in 2009 with 30 over compaines supporting. including SonyEricsson, Samsung and many more.

                                  Nokia : Symbian S60 about 65% user
                                  Windows Os : 12% user
                                  Linux : 7% user

My Nokia E71 (brilliant phone) is a business phone yet does more than the G705 - auto focus included. (As does it's slider varient, the E66.) I do not understand why SE are launching phones that are less revolutionary and capable than phones they made 2 or 3 years ago - such as the K800i that does so much so well. How is the G705 going to compete with the likes of the amazing Samsung innov8 etc?
