I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but if they're going to add periscope lenses, that's going to make the phone thicker as well. If you take a look at the competition (Pixel 7 Pro, Galaxy S23U) the iPhone 14 Pro Max is thinner by up up 1mm. Major reversal from 8 years ago when the trend was to make phones as thin as possible (see Bendgate).
