    I have owned:
    - Nexus 5
    To me the best Nexus mobile that LG made for Google, still have it now on Lineage OS (but no longer updated) and battery only last for around 5 hours but still a fun mobile to use for nostalgia reasons, to me the design was near perfect.

    - Pixel 3aXL
    Updated to Android 12 but Google no longer do updates for it other then the play store stream updates, battery is still strong lasting at least 18+ hours for day to day use, going to update it to Lineage OS which is now based on Android 13 in due course, have been very impressed with the 3aXL overall very good mobile from Google, the rear finger print sensor is accurate.

    - Pixel 4a5g
    All I have to say is so far the best for battery life, 3G, 4G and 5G reception with my service provider (Telstra) has been awesome, camera for still and video has been also very good, overall the design was the right size and I use this mobile as my daily work phone no issue with battery at all, easily gets through the day without a recharge, currently has Android 14 Beta 2, as with the 3aXL the rear finger print sensor makes this so easy to use.

    - Pixel 6pro
    Where to start?
    The good? Good OLED screen (have it set to 1080p FHD+), forced full time 120Hz refresh rate (via developer options), the camera/s are brilliant for what they are designed to do working with the software platform, can't fault the Tensor (more on that later) SoC/DDR5 RAM it's quick, everyone is super smooth.

    The bad? The optical finger print sensor is stupid and barely works so I have switched it off and reverted to simple pattern to unlock, the tap on to make screen light up works most off the time however still to press the lock/unlock button to fire up the screen.

    Overheating? Yes if you push it hard doing various tasks like 4k video recording it does overheat, also worse it will overheat if you use 5G for video conference apps like MS Teams and ZooM or even WhatsApp which is concerning as none of the other Pixel devices I've owned have done this granted they were all Qualcomm Snapdragon based.

    The Tensor SoC (1st gen), look it's quick with optimised firmware by Google but it's not stable, I know that Google has sort of fixed this with the 2nd gen Tensor for 7/7pro/7a but I really wish that Google went back to Qualcomm SoC instead of the modified Samsung SoC.

    Battery wise it's disappointing, for such a large battery one would expect more SoT mine gets around 8 hours during a heavy day usage but really that should be around 12hrs, I think its more to do with the 4G/5G modem as on 3G that extended SoT life to around 10hrs however being on 3G is not the answer (unless I do regional travelling where it's better to be in 3G than 4G and 5G is nonexistant) so clearly the issue lies in the modem battery consumption.

    At the moment here in my country various retailers are offering the Pixel 7 for the same price as the 7a so it's comes down to plastic VS glass since for the most part the devices are near the same spec wise save for the smaller battery in the 7a.

    I am sticking the Pixel 4a5g and 6pro for the time being as both suit my mobile needs.

    I should note that I use my mobile as simply that a mobile not a gaming device (playing games on a phone? No thanks), I take videos and pics and make lots of voice calls and also data voice/video calls and watch videos via various apps and listen to music and even use the as a digital speedometer, overall my usage is pretty medium and I have the devices optimised for my needs.

    Will.Inget the Pixel 7 range? At this stage no as the Pixel 4a5g and 6pro are doing what I require them to do.

        Electricity cost more and more, a lot of countrys have problems with delivering enough to people, they still have "blackout times" during the day where there is no power.

        Not everybody lives in the US you know?

        Besides, less electricity we use is better for the enviroment, we are after all talking about Billions of devices +stupid headphones that need a charge + stupid "smartwatches" that need a charge +....

I owned a 3,4 ,5, 6 pro ... moreLol i cant believe you said the 6 pro was a good phone, literally owned it and its the reason i wouldnt ever trust a pixel again. Mate had the 4xl and it was a poor phone with terrible battery and under performed. Also based off benchmarks, so pixels then which get way higher scores than the actual real world performance of the device, how to contradict youself in the space of a paragraph.

            People want an efficent SoC with enough power, doesnt throttle as bad as tensor, isnt fully based on a.i. And lies saying "our SoC improves over time" which its the opposite from actual real world use of their device, has the build quality of communist 1960s car, one of the slowest charging known in a flagship (if you think 2 hours is acceptable then you need to go seek some professional help, other companies get atleast 4 years of charging at 80w+ without battery degradation). The 6 series didnt even have an integrated modem and got way slower wifi and mobile data speeds than even flagships years older (except the s20 series, terrible series of phone it has same problems as pixels).

            Barebones android is very average and actually frustrating to use if you come from any half decent phone (flagship samsung, oppo, xiaomi, huawei in the past/possibly now, etc). Pixels have the least amount of useable features plus most of the pixel features you can get if you have google one like full pixel photo suite.

            Cameras are overrated, my pixel 6 pro was beaten pretty much in every department by my p40 pro including selfie quality, plus my p40 pro had an actual IR tof face unlock sensor which google removed on the pixels. People dont want 100000x zoom like you wrongly say they just want a decent periscope telephoto than csn do probably atleast 5x with the main sensor able to do the x2 shots (portrait in reality).

            Software is below average too, my pixel 6 pro would get worse with each update either gaining new bugs or old bugs being re introduced, was an absolute joke and what pushed me over the edge with the device (replaced it with a find x5 and within 5 minutes i was hooked over the pixel). Also had a partner with the iphone 13 and it was so much more efficent and easier to use its actually an insult saying pixels on par with iphones ios (same principle but not even close to the same quality).

            Also pretty expensive for the quality of device you actually get, like someone else said as a backup/ business device they would be useful but vs basically every phone at the same price point they get pretty handily beaten (not paper specs, actual real world performance in every department).

            Only ones worth looking at are the A series and standard 6/7 and only if its cheaper than equivalent phones in that price point (7a might have poor battery but its specc'd like a top mid ranger overall) but people like accepting and prasing mediocrity in this day and age so pixels getting praised doesnt suprise me anymore.

              During my working day I use it a lot to send emails, text messages, go on Facebook, Snapchat a lot too.

              When I get home it is connected via bluetooth in the car and once I get home I use it even more to be on social networks, play call of duty or even PUBG.

              I think you can say that I really use it a lot.

              *Localization is also active 24/7*

                  Tbf i think you're right with it being a good business type phone, the reason i had a pixel 6 pro was work based just as a general all round device it failed on so many levels but i could see businesses getting deals on the 6a/6/7a/7 for their workers, specially with the device (probably integrate well with the tablet which could be used with business plans).

                    Haters will always hate on google. I owned a 3,4 ,5, 6 pro and 7 pro, fold. Believe me, they are all great phones - especially the A-Series since they feel like flagships, act like flagships, take photos like flagshops, but are very affordable.
                    Sure, if you are a numbers-person, who only cares for Benchmarks, times, etc., wanting 210W chargers, 5 Cameras, 1000000x Zoom, Pixel is not for you. If you want a user experience close to an iphone, meaning a phone that works great every single day, you will get it. It has the smooth workflow of any iphone, no shutter lag (lol Samsung) or translation issues, lack of security updates and bloatware (yay china-phones).
                    Updates though could be better. 3 years is "meh" - they should really offer 5 like Samsung. At least they will give you 5 years of security updates.

                            Man should have just go for 19.5:9 display ratio like iphone and samsung it will have like 5-6mm shorter and more compact and it's pointless in most case to have very tall phone..152mm tall vs 146mm tall that's quite noticable difference..

(so like 3 hours atleast of... moreI may have misunderstood but, that comes up to at least 7 to 8 hours on a cellphone daily. Doubt this phone would hold up, it's more of a business phone for people with other devices to consume digital content. A 4a lasts 3 days as my daily driver but, I'm more dependent on the smartwatch which lasts 3 to 4 days.

                                  I just got this phone today, I am loving it

                                  Though, I am coming from an entry level Samsung.

                                  Battery life is ok but it's good enough for me.

                                  Less time on my phone is my goal so it's a win win.
