Most mobile manufacturers outsource every single component of their devices because it just makes financial sense to do so. It doesn't matter even a little bit. Apple doesn't produce a single component from their iPhones, it's literally 100% outsourced. Not because they can't do it, it just costs less to do it this way.

Still with their Dynamic Island though, blinding people from noticing that it's worse than the previous Notch. Serious, compare the front of the 13 Pro and the 14 Pro, that stupid Island is protruding even further into the display. Compared to the experience of my S23 Ultra and other high-end phones that massive hole in the screen is just a massive eyesore.

notafanboy, 01 Jun 2023LG the OLED G.O.A.T. 😍Tbh i prefer lg lcd and oled screens over samsung ones, never got the hype of samsung (atleast for tvs). Go in to stores and see an lg tv looking far better than the samsung ones at twice the price. (literally £500-600 lg screens looking better than £1200-1400 samsung ones). Personally i think LG is the better manufacturer in most areas they share products in including washing machines and fridge freezers.

Samsung needs more pixels to get the detail LG gets out with 1080p. Personally I don't see the point in 1440p phone screens, but I think that's because I've always used LG phones. I only got a smartphone a few years ago, August 2021 I got my G8X, then June of 2022 I got my V60. Both have been champs. The bs people say about LG phones sucking is cringe lies, to put it bluntly. The displays on those phones were world class...
