Only this phone has a camera at the same level as the Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra and the hardware is even better in some respects.
Stop looking through the prism of propaganda only logically what the product offers
If it wasn't for Chinese companies, there would be no innovations at Apple and Samsung, which have a monopoly meanwhile, oppo and xaiomi are on their heels and improve their devices year after year so it's normal that the price is going up since the level is much better.
The second thing is the latest technology costs money if you can't afford the latest then buy a phone from the operator and don't criticize^^

It will come out at €1499. There is no way in high hell it will be less. If it is somewhere it'll sell out in seconds and they'll raise the price. MSRP is just the recommended price. Outlets sell phones often for far more and usually carrier companies get the best deals on supply and bulk so no one can beat them in price.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro has been out more than 6 months. It's still €1299 here. Anyone who thinks the Ultra will launch for less than that is completely delusional.
I already got mine from China. €948 including shipping and VAT. It's so far an absolutely flawless device and the camera is far better than any review or sample I checked. It beats my previous Vivo X90 Pro+ by quite a margin. Except maybe the Vivo X90P+ is a bit better with night photography. Everything else about the device is near perfection. The build, comfort of holding, accuracy and brightness of the screen. It's absolutely blazing fast and there is no lag whatsoever. I debloated the Chinese apps immediately and even without 700Mhz, 800Mhz etc. I'm still getting my carriers 600M speeds on 5G and about 200M on 4G. So even the lack of those bands wasn't remotely a problem. Battery drain is also totally fine and the English version of the MIUI is error free. I also still got a 2 year warranty. I have third-party phone insurance too for an additional year for the entire value of the phone. Xiaomi says it'll have 3 years of software patches and 5 of security updates.
In my opinion, anyone who can't afford it from EU store. Buy it from China. You will never look back. Xiaomi might normally release mid-tier stuff but this phone is in a class of its own. Anyone who would take an S23U over this needs to get themselves checked for mental illness. As soon as you've had this phone for an hour, you'll be looking to sell your Samsung. Xiaomi and Leica should be really proud of what they've done here. The camera and software are just phenomenal. Sony Xperia could even learn something.

Anonymous, 03 Jun 2023Tell Cpt Power, he think xiaomi makes 5% per device. Hahaha yeah right. Like Oneplus saying some years ago they were not making a buck, they were selling at cost price. Hahaha only naive people believe that these companies are in biz to make charity...
I wouldn't be surprised if Xiaomi and others, were making half of the price in profit or even more. Those news about the cost of making a phone, always forget that those component prices are for 1 (one) device only. They making them in large scale so the prices go considerably down...

I hope that a 16GB ram 256/512GB rom version will also be available globally. Then I'm defiantly getting this phone. If not, then I'll buy the OnePlus 11 and call it a day (year).

Xiaomi has been charging a much higher % markup than other Chinese brands in Europe like Huawei, Honor and Oneplus for example. The p60 pro is more expensive than the Xiaomi 13 ultra in China for example but it starts at €1,199 in Europe (only for 256gb though). The Honor magic 5 pro launched at €1,199 for 512 gb (it's priced similar to the Xiaomi 13 pro in China). Based on other Chinese brands pricing I think €1,299 would be a fair price for a 512gb version. However they would need to change their pricing strategy for this to happen. The 13 pro for just 12gb 256gb was €1,299 in many big European countries but €1,399 in some e.g. Spain (a 70%-83% mark up on Chinese pricing). If they use the same pricing strategy for the 13 ultra it would cost between €1453 and €1,566 for the same 16gb 512gb variant that is sold in China. This is oout of line with other Chinese brands in Europe. €1,299 would bring them in line with the pricing of other Chinese brands so i think that would be fair (although slightly annoying to those that bought the pro model)

I hope that's how it's priced in the rest of the market. Where I'm from, most of the flagship, Samsung and iPhone alike, are about $1300 more. People can cry that S23 Ultra is X price but pretty much most companies already hit that $1299 ballpark. It's just about options these days.

Can we just get a list of all 4G and 5G bands on the global model.
The China model is missing crucial Western 4G and 5G bands completely.
