You can configure it with 192GB though which is so over the top imo. But yes I do agree that the new Mac Pro is incredibly lazy from Apple, its clear they only produced it to tick the box. No one should buy it.

Thought Mac pro was supposed to be cheaper than Mac studio 💀

Nick Tegrataker, 06 Jun 2023The lack of user-upgradeable RAM in Mac Pro is quite baffli... moreWhy do you need to upgrade RAM, just pay couple thousands to Apple for more RAM like "normal" people 😁

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2023who needs so much performance? i am seriously asking.Because you own a slow phone?

TheLastOracle, 06 Jun 2023High-end productions for films. High end production most of times people dont use Apple though, they use Linux farms with custom Intel/Amd cpu and Amd/Nvidia Gpu.

SamsungRules, 05 Jun 2023they would have ended intel if their products cheap. sadly ... moreCore i3 1220p is faster than M1 and you can get it in sub $300 laptop but it didnt kill Apple sales.

who needs so much performance? i am seriously asking.

Pity, we've build CoreI9 workstation for € 2K (otherwise we would love to spend € 4K for limited apple junk... sure thing!) 😂😅

The lack of user-upgradeable RAM in Mac Pro is quite baffling - There's very little to differentiate the Pro from Studio, apart from those extra PCIe slots.

Intel Mac Pro had support for 2TB of user upgradable RAM!!!

No matter how much unified high speed memory you have ,you simply just can't compensate for lack of RAM.

                              Also where's AV1?

SamsungRules, 05 Jun 2023they would have ended intel if their products cheap. sadly ... moreTbh there are several aspects where x86 is superior to ARM. One of them is that it's easier to customize hardware on x86 computers, like changing RAM, SSD, etc.

Like am able tonsfford this, even if i was inwould buy some windows laptop for 1400$

ok but they should stop comparing it to their old intel shxt

they would have ended intel if their products cheap. sadly not, so intel is still in the business
