IMO the XM4 look and feel like the real deal, higher-end of buds. these look like the cheaper Sony S buds with a paint job... 🤞 the 24hr is 2 additional charges, 12hrs EACH with ANC on. If not Sony with be treading backwards as my XM4s get over 11hrs play time(8hrs,37mins... WITH ANC on, on AAC & SBC).
AKA- That 24hrs best be 2 12hrs of playing time WITH ANC on. If not shows that same battery life or worst then the XM4s. Well, Sony enjoys surprises the last minute.
And physically, nothing really special...(compared to the XM4s)((look way cheaper but also can see how they could be more comfortable))
With that said they best make up for A LOT with the above Design when it comes to better ANC, feel, fitment etc...

Wish it fits better in the ears. The XM4s kept on falling out I was “forced” to get the Airpods Pro 2… which doesnt sound nearly as good for me.

I've had a pair of XM3s and they sounded awesome but kept falling out of my ears. Got a pair of XM4s, they sounded great, kept falling out of my ears. Got a pair of WFC500s, sounded great, fit great, wife stole them. Using the Linkbuds S now, and unfortunately, the low end is not pronounced enough and the sound stage is simply to narrow for my taste - I'd assume that's due to the small 5mm driver. I have ordered the WFC700N and I really hope it will solve all my issues.
These XM5s seem they will be awesome, unless Sony finds a way to mess things up in a typical Sony fashion - Foam tips, or something similar.

They will be perfect with my future Sony Xperia 1 V. I hesitated with the new Technics EAH-AZ80 but I'll take the Sonys I guess

Hope these don't fail after a firmware upgrade.
I had to throw my XM4s after a firmware upgrade, the left earbud lasted 20 minutes or less. Before that, it lasted 5 to 6 hours.
