Their software policy for their Nord Number series is just 2 OS upgrade + 3 years security patch btw. OnePlus Nord 1 (that launched with Android 10) only got Android 12, and I'm not really sure if they want to update that software policy.

            I have Nord 2 and I'm still quite satisfied with the phone after 14 months. At the moment there is bad climate for smartphones and OnePlus isn't even available so... Will be hard to get Nord3. Anyway I hope phone will prove its worth.

                      That's hardly an excuse. I'm comparing with D8020/8050 and SD778G+, not to say D7200 and SD695. These SoCs are powering devices that could run so-called "demanding" latest software (almost) hassle free.

                      I'm not talking about flagship hardware.A phone, even a somehow lackluster "flagship killer" like Poco X2 pro or Realme X50 pro, still has better raw performance and peripherals compared with recently released mid-rangers running A13.

I think 3 years of updates are enough. As android versions upgrade and become more demanding on 3yr old hardware, phone lags and hangs. You will be better off with smooth performance on lower android version.
                                Also, security updates won't help if you install shady apps and visit scratchy websites.

                                    And you could indirectly ban 8mp ultra wide cameras

                                    These sensors are likely sold in bundle deals 🤝 just like you getting a reduced price if you buy 3 of the same goods in the supermarket

                                    I acknowledge that it's not practical directly to us consumers
