This was expected tbh. I even mentioned the highlights losing all the textures despite being correctly exposed on gsmarena's review.

All they actually need to do is remove the vignetting effect in every photo in Leica Authentic mode and make it the default mode, or at least give an option to turn off the vignetting. Nobody wants vignetting in each and every photo they take.

      Why did GSMarena praise Xiaomi 13 Ultra camera so much???? It is not even better than generations old phones according to other reviews on dxo etc .... !!???
      They should explain...

        DXOMARK is an untruthful site.. Since LEI JUN Xiaomi's CEO said that DXOMARK must buy our phones not to get it free to review it.. They always rank Xiaomi's phones below top 10.. Do you think that Mi 11 ultra, iPhone 13 pro is better than 13 ultra.. It's just a lying👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

          People love DxoMark .... until their favorite brand is not ranked on top.

            Xiaomi's problem with tonal compression when HDR is triggered is relatively easy to notice - Highlights and mid-tones sometimes look weirdly "flat", whereas the likes of X90 Pro, Find X6 Pro and P60 Pro rarely suffer from this issue. From what I have seen, using Leica Authentic mode should largely mitigate this issue, but it's pretty disappointing to see that Xiaomi hasn't worked on fixing it given that it was even present on 13 Pro as well.

The photo could still be clicked at the time the shutter is pressed. What dxo are testing is when the photo is actually taken, not the time lag to process the photo as that happens after the photo is taken. They are measuring this quite scientifically. If you read the review you will see that most of the time the Xiaomi 13 ultra is very good but there is sometimes a delay so it's not always consistent. For example, this could be what n hdr fires. They don't measure it against the Huawei mate 50 pro or p50 pro either. They measure against the p60 pro which is a different phone

The review and strong and weak points they pointed out were very reflective. You can argue about the significwnce of the overall score but the reviews are really very good and useful in my opinion. They also contain great information you can't get elsewhere

I think it has slightly superior specs except for zoom. It has the same main camera sensor but a slightly wider aperture. It has a better ultrawide sensor and a better sensor for the shorter zoom range. It's just missing the longer zoom range sensor

                      All I know that it got the best hw for hi res raws. Auto mode, what is it lol.
                      More than shutter lag would hurt low shutter memory for burst shooting, loading and not possible to shoot another photo.
                      No idea how it is with xiaomi 13 ultra, but for stills, 50mp 4 times from very ultra wide to 5x, how not to be satisfied looking at competition hw.

                        It's been around 3 years since 11 Ultra and Xiaomi still can't make proper HDR processing, many times photos are under exposed or overexposed, especially front camera, not even talking about shameful 1080p video recording. Cmon Xiaomi

                          Nova series belongs to Huawei, not Xiaomi.

                            ISP is one thing , post processing is another thing. They need to work together with lense that gather enough light from the scene.

                              Since Xiaomi started the Leica and 1" thing there has been downfall on their pride as giant competitors.

                              I'm even shocked, what makes these Chinese competitors better than Samsung and yet Apple is closer in rank Chinese, when Apple and Samsung are in one boat🤯(oversaturate) ... DXO🤔

                                People are confused. Leica is for lenses, computational photography is other thing. Xiaomi can't bring HDR in portrait mode, HDR in selfie portraits, 4K front facing videos. Xiaomi has all that in Nova series. Samsung has that in A series. Leica is color filter... Big photo equipment makers don't do computational photography, period.

                                      It's marked shutter delay.
                                      Honestly, if you've ever used the mate 50 pro, let alone the p50 pro, there's a delay even if the photos look good after the delay.

                                        I have the xiaomi 13 ultra and frankly I come from Huawei.
                                        Four points are for me much better than many top of the range.
                                        1.the consistency of the camera colors is extraordinary!
                                        2.the level of detail is incredible.
                                        3.video quality is on a par with the iPhone, and this is the first time I've seen it.
                                        4.lighting management.

                                        After that, I stopped trusting dxomark a long time ago! And yes, you have to stay in authentic mode ....
