    Even Android 9 is capable of running all the apps available in the playstore

After 5 years of updates and 6 years of use your google pixel 7A will be unable to run most apps they wont be supported so having 5 years of updates makes as much sense as 6th tyre on your car.
          Another thing most users swaps their phones every 2-3 years which is longevity of most carriers plans then you grab new device.
          There is less than a 5% probbably less than a 1% of people who keeps their phone for 5+ years.
          I swap mine every 2-3 years. In case of Pure Android experience had my Moto X4 for 4 years. Then i bought new one for having updated hardware. Which you cant do with 5+ years old phones.

                That was a joke, but ngl 8+ Gen 1 is still good for 2023, it's a cheaper option to 8 gen 2 but still power-efficient.

                              Nothing phone also doesnt have 3.5mm jack and microsd slot similar to pixel

                              Atleast pixel has better camera and 5 years of software update

                              Whereah nothing phone 2 will have 3 os update, As they are launching with android 13 maximum update it can receive is android 16 (Android 14 is around the corner so i will consider it as 2 os update)

                                With the rounded frame, the phone would be less durable as compared to boxy edges.

                                        It will be launched when android 13 is about to end and android 14 to be launched, so that 3 os upgrade count starts from android 13
