I hope they keep the small size, I hate huge phones, good battery, good specs, and improve the camera night mode. Basically they have to do a Zenfone 9 with better camera, and I’m in.

If someone make a A10 phone with Dimensity 9200 and a dedicated SD card slot and promised 5 years of security updates and promise never to update the OS, I will buy it.
                  Same deal if someone make a 3:2 Aspect Ratio 9" Tablet with either SD870 or Dimensity 7200.

                    in a sense I dont think asus designed the zenfone 10 to be the "actual" replacement for zenfone 9 users.. rather zenfone 8 or even earlier devices - plus those using older other phones.. considering (my guess) - the average person changes smartphone every 2-4yrs?

                            So this year Zenfone we get the same design as Zenfone 9, but with upgraded main camera, faster wired charging, added wireless charging, and using the latest flagship chipset. I'm not sure did they also managed to upgrade the battery size to 5000mah, but so far from the sources, I don't think battery capacity upgrade will be a thing (it will have crazy battery lifespan if they managed to fit that into the Zenfone 10)

                            On top of that, it's cheaper (probably because they saved most of the cost by using the Zenfone 9 design) and given 2 extra years of security support (4 years in total)......

                            Not gonna lie, this makes me question about my purchase decision on Zenfone 9 last year, but hey, you can't predict that's happening in the future and I'm glad that they have kept their focus on making the best compact smartphone in the current market. But I still wish that ASUS would treat the people that bought Zenfone 9 by giving extra years of security support.

Many annoying bugs that render an almost perfect smartphone for me into something that makes my life harder and it should be the other way.

                                  - Asus is a popular brand outside of smartphones. Their laptops are pretty well known.

                                  - Buy a different phone then, the Zenfone is meant to be small.

                                  - Asus phones have had the holepunch in the corner the whole time.

                                  - I don't think I've seen anyone massively complain about the recent Zenfones outside of getting free internet points.

                                      Anonymous, 19 Jun 2023I hope they will release flip style phone with small 5.9 in... moreI don't think its possible to do Flip on a small phone, unless they reduce the battery to 3,900mah or below, and then people will complain that the battery life sucks.
                                      It would be good if Asus can rotate between sizes every year instead of same size for 3 years. If they can do the below for ZenFone it'd be perfect:

                                      2024, 2027, 2030: ZenFone 6 style with 3.5mm and dedicated SD slot. Upgrade the main camera with OIS and add in a separated 3x telephoto that's not on the Flip Module. Change to FP scanner on Power and front facing speakers.

                                      2025, 2028. 2031: A longer version of 5.2" version of ZenFone 3, with FP scanner on Power, 3.5mm and Hybird SD slot. No Flip design with 3 cameras behind, telephoto at least 3.5x. Change the Selfie camera to at least 1/3" and around 20mm wide.

                                      2026, 2029. 2032: Small phone, something similar to ZF9 and ZF10, but with reasonable upgrades. Maybe they can change the camera to a 20mm main camera and a 60mm secondary. And change the selfie to around 20mm instead of the current 26~28mm. Adding in SD slot would be nice.

                                      Also, they need to remove wireless charging, it's useless, worthless and a waste of energy.

Sony still has the Xperia 10 and 5 series, their 7:3's 6" and 6.1" is around the same size as other makers' 20:9's 5.6~5.9". There will always be a few people wanting small phones.
                                        What Asus should really do is to alternate their size releases, say rotate between big (6.5~6.9"), medium (6~6.4") and small (5.5~5.9"), instead of 3 years of big phones followed by 3 years of small phones...
