    Same, and I agree part of the problem was their lack of marketing.

    However, people who wanted a phone with a high-end headphone jack, clearly knew about their phones, some may have bought them, some may not have, but it wasn't enough for LG to survive. I'm still sad to see them gone, but them leaving the smartphone market was partially on consumers too, who were constantly whining about headphone jacks and sd cards, but then not buying LG "because they didn't advertise enough", which is bs, YouTube was always full of LG phone reviews with millions of views.

      Derk, 27 Jun 2023I fix phones for a living and even newer phones need batter... moreMan yes i understand your point since i run phoneshop company with 30 stores around the country i live but we dont fix we only sell.
      For fix we use authentic fixing centre with original spare parts.
      At first its always fail of a customer who cant use its phone properly or act careless in that way i understand new phones have battery issues.
      But once again even changng a battery in phne is like 50-100 eur at least here in Slovakia.
      In case of old phones is better to buy new phone in case of new phones even if EU law says all devices must have at least 2 years of warranty (this is something non EU countries like ASIA ones dont have only 1 year of warranty at most) in case of batteries no company is willing to give you more than a 6 months of battery warranty for a very simple reason.
      Some rather stupid creepy and cringe or clumsy people can even a new battery destroy withing few days or weeks because they use their phone wrong way and charge it wrong way.
      Anyway if people werent bothering with every tiny little there were no needed for many services.
      Like nowdays you see full halls of healthy patients because they feel sick even they are healthy but thats another story.

Could be because of how the owner uses their phone, could be a faulty battery, or the phone got damaged and needs parts replaced. Its not just old phones that need replacing, Ive had more newer phones than older phones with battery issues

          If you keep your phone on a 200W charger every night for as long as night yes you will need battery replacement every month.
          But normal people who using their phone as they should use can last with one battery 3-5 years easily a time when they swapp whole phone not just battery.
          Whats the point to have for example Samsung S8 if still working but you are unable to run most apps because its hardware is not good enough.
          If i really need phone for just dialing and messages would buy something like Nokia 230 or so.

              Nowdays most phones last several years perfectly and after several years most people swap whole phone not battery why to keep outdated phone with outdated hardware which is unable to run newest but very updated software. It makes no sense.
              Removable batteries are stupid.
              Buy a fairphone and you will have removable whole phone.

                  the smartphone market today is all about form over function.
                  all because of iphone 7's existence. where the 2 functions started to remove from android phones, now they look like fruit phone copycats.

                      Just wish we had more options in this phone industry is all.
                      Seems like things like removable batteries, jack, SD slot and now SIM slot are all but gone.
                      Notification light... Camera button.
                      There is no choice anymore really other then Sony which I am fully supporting (typing on X5ll)
                      Soon there won't even be buttons on a phone the way things are going
                      Phones are getting MASSIVE yet features are getting diminished.
                      And the embarrassing part is people are perfectly okay with taking it from these companies.
                      I just don't get it.
                      I actually believe people don't even know just how amazing removable batteries really is to be honest.
                      I went from a LG V20 to a Xperia XA2 now Xperia 5ll and man... I miss removable batteries BIG-TIME.
                      With how these Xperia phones weigh they could easily support a monster of a battery and still weight decently.
                      Wish Sony had mid range high end phones with removable batteries I'd kill for such capability

                          As mentioned in one of my comments below, the problem is that you ABSOLUTELY want to use wired. The problem is that you're absolutely everywhere whining when a phone doesn't have a jack or SD slot.

                            this new transparent cable is a real gamechanger. when used it will give you 100days o battery life, 1000TB of storage space, unlimited trolling capabilities, a sports car, $10 mln in your bank account and a hot wife :)

When I Google Realme, OnePlus, Oppo and vivo, they all have BBK listed as their parent company, and Nothing doesn't.

                              Altough now that I look at it, the company Essential Products that made that one phone back in 2017, has Nothing Technology Limited listed as their parent company which I find hard to believe.

                              Fairly sure that they can be backed by up BBK, while also standing as a separate company/brand.

                              Either way, I don't think Nothing is part of BBK, but if they are, then so be it, my main phone is a vivo anyways, I got a OnePlus too, had an Oppo as well, got another 2 vivo phones, no issues with any of them.

                                Why its share some source code and references in its stockROM to realme devices?
                                Why some components have internal code numbers as some of Oppo devices?


                                Also do people really have such short memory, as when OnePlus first showed up pei and his team also said "they are not part of Oppo/BBK" and BUM! we have another pseudo new company made by Pei and almost the same team as before that after few devices finally have sticker of real owner...

                                So small reminder. Just because Company have its own R&D Team it doesn't mean its NOT backed up by conglomerate.
                                Just look at food industries and see who own who, and you will see that even products that compete between each other are own by the same people.

                                I dont mind that Nothing is part of BBK, I just dont like people like Pei that pretend and, literally just lie about his products, and fans that fight so hard to copy/paste the same marketing gibberish.

                                  If a phone doesn't have an SD card you are forced to buy internal storage which not only costs more then compared to SD storage but once you get a different phone you can't easily pop it in the phone for fast data transfer.
                                  Same with headphones.
                                  Not everyone wants to deal with Bluetooth for all we know it could even give you cancer.

                                  The phone industry right now as a whole is embarrassing.
                                  So many things have been removed and the best feature on a phone is removable batteries which also got removed
                                  What's the point of ip68 rating... When you can save everything to cloud huh?
                                  Give me removable batteries that i can slam a 8600MAH battery on the back of 5.6 inch screen phone that will crush any battery released on all these newer phones regardless how massive the screens get.
                                  You will have to buy a 7.9. inch screen of a phone to even hopefully get a 8600MAH battery.
                                  Removable batteries with two batteries also is the fastest way to charge your batteries and make them last for a long time.

At the moment wireless has a lower quality than wired, and I don't like to keep charging all my devices daily. I should be able to choose what to use, wired or wireless, local or cloud and so on. Imagine that from tomorrow onwards Bluetooth is removed and all you have is wired, would you accept that?

                                        I use mine EVERY day, the headphones charge themselves when I place them in their bases. The base itself is recharged approximately once every 2 weeks.
