Why is Honor persistently ignoring the real mid-range devices? The specifications they offer have no relevance to anyone looking for a mid-range device with Snapdragon 7+, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. Honor fails to provide even the bare minimum for customers in this segment, producing either very expensive devices or those with extremely low specifications.
I think this year Infinix Note 30 vip is the best compititor!

Anders, 20 Jun 2023Ultimately you can't really blame the companies though... moreAgreed but, it's also not the consumers' faults that there are hardly any other options to buy from to avoid these brands.
There are no phones anymore in this budget segment that offer 4k recording, headphone jack and MicroSD slot anymore (whereas before it would've been plentiful). So what other choice do people have.
It's all rigged, just like politics. That choices have been all collectively reduced to piece of crap like this, with customers having no other option but to buy it and the companies stupidly interpret it as the people wanting it like this.

Shame on mediatek for rebranding d700 to 6020 after almost three year.
What the point of having 100mp cam when you have bad chip with poor isp and also overpriced...

thedeev1, 20 Jun 2023Phones have seriously downgraded since 2020, especially in ... moreUltimately you can't really blame the companies though. Consumers are to blame for accepting billionaires ripping them off. If people had a backbone and straight up refused to buy garbage like this, the quality of phones would very quickly return. Companies are going to rip you off if they can get away with it.
It's like when people moan about politicians, but keep on voting for the same ones. France is a good example of this. Constantly protesting Macron yet they keep voting for him.

Anders, 20 Jun 2023Terrible SOC, terrible cameras, terrible display (only 90hz... morePhones have seriously downgraded since 2020, especially in budget segment.
Taking just the budget section, in 2020 pretty much every €300 phone came with:
> Headphone jack
> MicroSD slot
> 4k recording
> More than one usable camera (I cant believe ultrawides are disappearing from midrange segment!)
> Possibly OLED, water resistance and compact size.
> Decent processors.
Yeah, just about none of that has survived to present day midrangers - which is disgusting and symbolic of greed. I blame this mostly on China phones, they (Honor, Realme, Oppo, Xiaomi, Huawei, Oneplus) are the ones pushing these stupid trends forward. Samsung looks to follow too soon.
Stupid companies. Even freaking Moto G8 Power from 2020 is more useful than this POS e-waste. My A52, bought in 2021 for same price as this phone, is objectively better too.

Terrible SOC, terrible cameras, terrible display (only 90hz, no HDR) no headphone jack, no microSD, no 4K video
and not even basic splash resistance recording for £300?
Whoever is buying this kind of BS needs a psychiatric evaluation

In the UK it has an MSRP of £300, but is £250 right now and you can pick either a free Honor Band 7 or a free Honor Earbuds X5 (valued at £50 and £40, respectively)
It's a bundle or included as it's not for FREE !!
Free means that you dont need to buy the phone and just go pick your band up from the shop or let them deliver it for you without spending even 1 cent of it's delivery too.
This word free is really serious manipulation word to scam people. Just like my friend bought S22 like year ago for 850 euro as it had samsung smartwatch with it as for free and he went around bragging it to me that he got free watch. That S22 on that time cost like 750 euro without that smartwatch.
It's same as the carrier i have contract with is advertising free headphone pods from huawei or apple as free if you join with 5G. It's like minimum 20GB data and you need to pay 29 euro for that for 2 years. So you basically pay 10 euro a month just for the pods that is included in the monthly pay of 29 euro. I wont even switch to 5G cause i have 15GB data and unlimited calls for 12 euro a month and got a call from the carrier that want cheaper monthly pay as 8 euro a month but internet be reduced to 5GB. I just dont get why even make an offer so dumb like that. Short term contract also that is like 2 years and then need to go and make a new one while i dont have time limited contract

No Gyro sensor.
No stabilization for video recording.
Cost is a bit too high for the specs. Even the magic5 lite 5G is £250 now.

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2023Samsung has been giving them for quite some time now.I think it makes little difference. The quality of the 8mp ones is already so poor and so far from a main sensor it's pretty useless. In my opinion phones like the Iqoo neo 8 have the right approach. Just abandon the ultra wide altogether and give a good main sensor. No point in an ultrawide unless it's going to be of reasonably good quality.
