Stondec100, 22 Apr 2013Nexus phones will continue to flop until Google realizes th... moreI don't think you understand what Google is trying to do with the nexus line, they are trying to push tech to evolve not just release a flagship.

      1. Bigger battery will not be needed as chips are getting efficient and wireless charging is now being invested in.

      2. Storage is not in googles plans as they are an INTERNET company, they make more money the longer you are connected. No SD support as they don't want android to run separate partitions.

3.Camera tech was Dependant on the manufactures and weather they want to pay licences to use the tech. Google now has their own cameras patents thus better cameras.

Like I said its not about making a $600-$700 flagship, anybody can do that. They are trying to push tech forward at a fast pace with low prices WHILE folding people into Google services, their primary goal.

Anonymous, 21 Apr 2013The N4 already has an LTE radio, or at least one which work... moreThey didn't pay for the license Key so they had to disable it.

Nexus phones will continue to flop until Google realizes that
          1. The battery life is of utmost importance and they begin to equip these nexus phones with at least 3300mAH batteries or better

          2. 8GB of internal storage or even 16GB of internal storage is grossly inadequate and unacceptable especially given the lack of SD support. Apps keep getting bigger and many people like to keep their contents on their phones as well as the cloud.

These phones should come with at least 32GB of internal storage and there should be also 64gb and 128gb storage options on launch date

          3. The camera of a smart phone is extremely important these days!. I'm glad they say they're working on improving the camera tech for Android. I hope they do that and quickly.

I would have loved to have a Nexus phone as my backup phone, but based on the issues above, I find it absolutely unacceptable. All samsung and now HTC flagship offerings are by far better than the Nexus phones. You can't even compare these devices. And all Nexus devices have abominable battery life, all without exception.

The current Nexus is already LTE 700 MHz Class capable, since it has the same basic hardware setup as the Optimus G and in Canada some folks are still using it on LTE. Unfortunately Google disabled this function with Android Ver 4.2.2 - I personally don't care as my provider does not support LTE here and it's fast enough on HSDPA now. Dig my Nexus4 ;)

Nexus 4 has lte, it just needs a few steps to be enabled. Don't any of you remember all the hubub about when this was discovered and then Google released an update to kill it? There is a lot of instructions at xda on how to re-enable it.

One area that Google can improve in Nexus 4 is the camera.

The current camera has very poor quality image comparing to S4 or iPhone 5.

Without external memory is fine but offer option for memory like 32G or 64G.

The N4 already has an LTE radio, or at least one which works in Canada (1700 MHz). Google chose to disable this in the latest firmware update.

If they are upgrading the hardware, why not add an expandable memory slot ?? Surely thats much cheaper than an lte radio. Plus , Why would you want lte without a bigger battery ?
