Did you know that Nokia holds the highest Eco-Vadis tier award. Did you know why the Chinese phones are cheap with powerful specs? They got their sources from shady suppliers. They underpaid their workers. They don't manage their wastes properly and pollute the environment. That's why the Chinese phones are cheap to you. Somebody else and the environment is taking the effect and subsidizing the Chinese phone for you.

By reading the comments it seems that you folks just focus on screen resolution. No one ever mention the refresh rate and the presence or not of pwm. This phone screen won't destroy your eyes, amoled with low pwm rate or screen with too high resolution will do.
Other than that, you can't really judge a display "on paper", you need to look at it and the flaw of this one is the greenish aspect, despite using the night mode (still better than the x10's though).
I handled the G42 for awhile and guarantee that the g42's cons is not the chipset at all (phones operates smooth) but the REALLY cheap plastic feel and the useless macro camera.
Now it's being sold bundled with bluetooth confort+ earphones for 260€, not sure if it's a reasonable price.

hmm, 28 Jun 2023I would say cause of the SD480+ is old it should be in the ... more4 Gen 2 is definitely an improvement. Similar clock speeds, but better architecture and smaller 4nm process compared to 480+. This phone would've definitely been a good deal with 4gen 2.

Nokia goes deeper in low quality zone.the crap started with g 11 and continues with this model.i had g22 and i returned because of low quality of screen ...is very shiny and provoking headache.this kind of problem i had when i used cheap smartphone brands.in conclusion nokia becomes a low quality brand.this inconvenience started with g11 model to present.

This Redmi 12R you probably get 256GB storage and 8GB ram version and it be still less then this G42 cost while G42 have only 4/128 or 6/128
So you just pay 100 plus euro for clean stock android and you think thats a good deal.
By the time you need to repair the phone it be already too old and makes no sense. Never mind that repair for phones makes sense only for phones that are middle class to flagship cause the price be like 350 euro to 900 and plus

An odd price. Regardless of the chipset debate and whether the 480+ is a good chipset in disguise, it's still 2 years old and along with a 720p screen and low MP cameras this should be cheaper than it is. Above 200 isn't acceptable or competitive with the field.

People may not understand that the Snapdragon 480+ is a rebrand of the 730/750. And they don't understand that paired with an HD Display, the battery lasts forever, you can even play decent games with it because the GPU has few pixels to handle, and most importantly the phone does not overheat.
Thank you Nokia, unfortunately many people criticize without knowing.
