Oh yes, they can use android apps! Why would I want a system that has to emulate something android does naturally?

Shame that Samsung drop Tizen and somehow Sailfish barely survived without any major devices .. Kaios live on but still living in the shadow of Android.

But personally I miss bb10 os .. it was so smooth even on outdated hardware, the gestures & animation feels natural..

Ah, the boxy phones of the past were so ugly!
All this just proves one thing - people don't need desktop in their pocket.

AnonD-512010, 02 Jul 2023I am pretty sure this is part 4Yeah, this is Part 4. Part 3 is about Trinity NuAns Neo.

There's not much problem making GNU Linux to work as a desktop, even on smartphones. The real problem is making GNU Linux to work as a smartphone. It's never been easy to port desktop softwares for smartphone UI/UX. Even Manjaro Phosh for PinePhone isn't a great experience when using it as a smartphone.

What we really need is a convergance between AOSP and ChromiumOS. That way, we can have Android experience on native smartphone/foldable/tablet screen and ChromeOS experience through Desktop Mode on second screen. It makes you question why anyone, including Google, never think of doing it as the resources are already there. Also, being open source means that anybody, including Huawei, can use it.

...and only two survival that make their own fanboys/girls in competition.

Wow, in 2021 there's still a phone with physical keyboard! They're like making products in 2021 after time travelling from 2017.

I am pretty sure this is part 4
