If you keep your old device for longer you buy new phone but get litterary nothing for old device.
Plenty of people buys new phone every 2 or 3 at most years.

IpsDisplay, 03 Jul 2023Just like AAA games there are offline games that you PAY fo... moreYou mean the pay once games that you play once also ? These are like single player games and no online so after you have played the story mode you have nothing to play or just start it all over again.
Even these games you need to buy to play will have season pass and updates with new content you get to spend money on.
Free to play are heavy on paid content and now heavy on adds too where they even have you to pay them so you wont see ads. Think of Asphalt 9 for example. You have multiplayer pass, Season pass and events pass that all cost like 10 euro and season is like a month long. And then you have also no ads pass or something. Game anyways is full of bundles and multiple different currencies that you can buy with real money.
Also when your free to play or even pay to play there is no point to start to play games like these when these are being out for a year or 2 as you wont ever catch up to even free to play players who started on release. Never mind that free to play players wont ever get special events where they dont have roadblocks and get to complete the events. Few times they give these special events in 5 years it's like 2-3 times where you need like one car you get max in half a year and that be enough to get the car in the end
