If Apple honestly announce demand for the Vision Pro is less than anticipated, Apple’s stocks would plummet wiping billions of dollars from the company portfolio.

Really mind boggling stuff.

$3499 for the goggles, no doubt you will be forced to pay for the headstrap, probably at $150, if you wear glasses then those lenses are $600, any optional cables and peripherals that may or may not be required? protective cases and screen protectors, I mean you are not gonig to get any change from $5K.
Then we have the european prices, at over £/5k/Euros, a million units is a laughable opening target, if this device was $2000-$2500K then probably, but not at those numbers.
Of course there are people who can afford them or will buy them regardless, but not a million

Apple deserves it.
Why in their mind would they release a $3499 product when you can get a $1500 headset (Meta Quest Pro) with almost the same functionalities.
They'd might as well discontinue that product.
(I'm not trying to hate on apple but they're releasing products which are not exactly worth the price)

I have the cash for this item. I won’t be buying one.
Not sure this is the device we need at this economic period of uncertainty and wild inflation. How many average tech people gonna drop $5k AUD so they can look like a moron in their living room.

I think Apple looked at the public and influencer reaction to it which has been quite mediocre and realised this isn’t going to sell anywhere near as well as they thought. Plus there are the weight issues which make it even worse.

Apple only issue is the fact that people in huge financial crissis and immediately after huge pandemic crisis like Covid was have no money to spend on something useless like this.
And if people really wants and needs something like this they pick something way cheaper like Meta Quest, HTC Oculus etc. Tons of options for 1/3 or 1/4 price with simmilar specs and much less weight to use on a daily basis.

Yes the beginning of the end for the Vision Flop Pro and Apple's largest fail. Seriously can't wait for the fruit company's major backpedaling for when this thing flops HARD.

Nobody will buy this for any proper normal use.
Only they will buy who have time and money to waste on stupid things except them who collects this type of device as collectable.

Might also just be a ploy to stir up demand for this overpriced paper-weight. pretty much like all their products
nothing makes the masses want something then saying "you cant have it"
